    Staff has been heavily investing in recruitment of Illinois. Lots of D1 talent near Chicago and I believe it will continue to pay off.

    Was voted Junior 5A All State team by coaches in December. Not that rankings mean a damn thing, but I suspect he will have one soon enough.

    Former Hoosier CJ Gunn (Depaul) hit a huge 3 with 9 seconds left to tie the game with Xavier...only for them to get beat on a buzzer beater. Gunn still struggles some with shooting consistency but is still having a pretty good year.

    Loyer is absolute trash. Can't believe that negative-skill clown has started as long as he has, but I hope it continues.

    Before last season I predicted a step back to 9-3. No way in hell could I have foreseen the amazing season we had. My mistake. 2026: 11-1 (the 1 being either OSU or Michigan). Somewhere in the 5-8 seed range in the CFP with a December home game in Bloom.

    Not a bad draw outside of OSU and Michigan back to back. Love that we have a late bye before USC and Washington.

    Brown has been hugely vocal about the staff and IU in general even before his commitment. Dude is an asset.

    Agree. Kamara deserves his flowers. Asked to change positions to fit scheme and kept his head down grinding even when I'm sure it was tough. Could not be happier for him having a huge play on the biggest stage!

    Honestly have no idea. I hope so but like someone stated earlier, its hard to grab someone in the portal that is content with coming in as QB2. I do think Cig and staff knew this was coming so they have planned accordingly, even if they wanted to keep Alberto.

    Without any additions, QB will certainly be thin. We would basically be relying on Hoover's health to avoid potential disaster, as Alberto could have comin and in won us some games. I am not sure on the progression of Cherry and Bell, but I do not have the same level of confidence there. Hope at least one of those 2 takes the next step in development.

    Eh Can't really blame Cristobal for the quote. No coach is going to trash his team after losing a champ game, and he might not have even known it happened. I agree in general he sucks, though, But I dont blame him for post game douchery.
