Not a single big on the staff. I was hoping for at least one rim protector.

Some of you complain about the Big Ten not being able to compete in the tournament due to antiquated style of play. But as soon as you have a coach that is attempting to run a more modern style of play with a modern roster you begin to complain about the lack of big men. It doesn't make sense. Let Coach worry about who is playing what position. If we see issues next year, we can voice our complaints in the "Fire Coach Devries" thread. :)

I agree with you 100%! I cannot wait to see the actual product on the floor

I find myself being more excited about next year than I have for many years. How great will it be to see a well coached team playing a modern offense?

So much doom and gloom in this thread. It will be alright, friends. Go outside and breath some fresh air. Better times are ahead. Give the guy a chance to build his roster. He is right on schedule when compared to similar rebuilds from other programs that happened last year.

He seems as though he teaches hard work and modern offense. Couple that with his ability to build a "TEAM" and I am 100% in.

I really don't know much about him, but I love the Hoosiers, so he has my support. Let's right this ship.

How about this thought. What if it is a current coach, but with today's current NIL/portal climate, they agree to not coach the NCAA tournament game(s) so they can take the position immediately. Similar to how college football coaches will forgo the right to coach bowl games? Could this be the way things progress in basketball in the future?

When this is over, we need to all create another thread in which we continually speculate about other coaching searches for different teams. We could hire out our services to other fanbases so we can do the worrying for them, complete with baseless and unsubstantiated rumors.

Yes, you missed people being upset about a coaching hire that hasn't been announced.

Day 38 of the coaching search......... Let's hope the wait is worth it. And it's not Brad or bust for me. Just give me somebody with some potential and upside that can get our fanbase excited again.
