Their 7 wins against the field would be hard to overlook compared to IUs 2 wins or if you count Ohio State 4. -

Probably not but possible. That win gets them in the conversation to be out of Dayton however the only other win against the field would be Purdue which is 2 solid wins or if you think a 17-14 Ohio st team is in the field then add 2 more wins. This is where Oklahoma probably has the advantage over IU in that Oklahoma has at least 6 wins against teams currently safely projected in the field and another over Arkansas. That would be hard to overlook. If iu loses to Oregon they will be in the Last 4 in or if enough bid stealers happen they will be out however if they win against Oregon they will be clear of Dayton in my opinion -

Oklahoma is 6-12 in conference. Everyone should know conference record doesn’t matter to the committee however if they get an at-large bid that will be the worse conference record for a team to receive an at-large. They say they view teams on overall body of work. I believe them however 6-12 is hard to ignore if I was a member and we were comparing resumes -

Depends on what this years committee values more. It changes yearly with the turnover of committee members. I’ve seen teams get left out with a bunch of Q1 wins and I’ve also seen them left out for having bad losses. That doesn’t help you sorry but it’s a moving target. Us that project this has to take clues from the committee revealing their top 16 in February and project from there. The year IU got a 4 seed I projected it when most on this board thought 5 of 6 seed and it was because during their top 16 reveal earlier in the year they valued high end road wins for teams. Ius road win at Xavier that ended up a 3 seed moved IU up some seed lines. I personally haven’t went back and looked at what this years committee has valued. I will do that when it gets closer to Sunday -

You could argue IU is already ahead of Oklahoma -

No bids were stolen. He just took a deeper look at resumes and moved them down 1 or 2 spots -

One thing to keep an eye on is 7 of the 12 committee members are from mid or low majors. Maybe this is the year more mid majors get selected then middlE of the pack high major teams. -

As a bracketologist you are always scrubbing your projected field when it gets closer. I’m not Lunardi however he probably did a scrubbing with teams close to the cut line and made the move. Or he is the face of bracketology and knows a lot of casuals look at his projections and a school like IU in the last 4 in might move the needle more then other teams. For me it’s close as well. You won’t see much separation from those last 6 in and first 6 out -

He he has been going downhill for awhile but he is the face of bracketology so his bracket always carry’s weight especially for the casual fan. Over the years once bracketology got more popular more and more people started doing it and have become really good at it. Everyone respects Lunsrdi however everyone knows there are plenty of more accurate ones out there -

Watch his tv projections leading up to the selection and then watch his last 4 in and out on his last tv appearance. He definitely does things for clicks and then when it gets closer submits the real one. -

General Coach Candidate News
Uspshoosier replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Today could be Shrewsberrys last game of the year. Dolson could announce him as early as tomorrow if that was his guy. IU instantly gets a McDonald’s all-American on the roster more then likely and they also probably get Stevens to step for in Assembly Hall to watch his son sit the bench in candystripes as a walk-on. Win win? -

Any of these top 5 would have a chance to be successful at IU and I would be excited to see what they could do. Otzelberger would be my number 1 stone cold lock at number 1 if he wanted it but sound like a no each of these 5 would get IU turned around and actually competing for the top of the conference which is something IU isn’t doing currently. 1. McDermott(Offense is elite however does he have the grind in him at 60 to do a rebuild NIL could make that easier however still a big time risk leaving Creighton 2-4 would grind like heck and each would have their own reason for grinding until IU was on top 2. DeVries 3. Collins 4. Willams 5. McCollum Give me 1 through 5 and I’m rolling 6. I guess Wade ( wouldn’t love it by any means however I love IU basketball too much to cut bait I think so in the end I would come around) 7. Brownell( after having a coach that wanted nothing to do with being a college basketball coach for 4 years at least he is a college basketball coach so there is that) -
