Not what I would call a credible source on Facebook. Just a huge IU fan like us that follows them very closely. He acted like it was a done deal and thanked the big guy for his time here. I was just wondering if anybody else was seeing this anywhere because I am not seeing it anywhere. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Random IUBB Recruiting

Our state was loaded with talent. This was a major swing and miss for Crean and staff. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners -
Random IUBB Recruiting
IUsafety replied to hoosierpap's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I'll give Williams a pass. All Star games are horrible platforms for big guys. Breakaway dunks and rebounds are the only times they get to see the ball. If Poole is starting at Michigan, I like our chances against them for the next four years. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Random IUBB Recruiting
IUsafety replied to hoosierpap's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
In the Derby Festival Classic, he was probably the least impressive to me, besides the big guys and they never touched the ball. I may have been expecting more with all of the recent excitement but he seemed slow and shot the ball poorly. Definitely didn't seem like Duke material. Could have just been an off night though. Who's declaring/transferring around NCAA 2017?

This guy needs to shut up already. LaVar Ball - "Realistically you can't win no championship with three white guys because the foot speed is too slow." Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
IUsafety replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Just some tidbits of information I picked up this past year about Romeo when coaches have visited. sUKy - Coach Cal was laying down his sales pitch of getting players to the NBA and someone asks Cal "what about getting an education?" Cal responded by saying "I don't think you understand, he will not need it. Your son will be playing in the NBA." From what I understand, that may not have been the answer they were looking for. Vanderbilt - Coach Drew received a request to come check out Langford. Drew contacted the New Albany coaching staff to see if he should even waste his time coming to New Albany because he didn't figure he had any shot in landing Romeo. They told him that we think you should come because it was the Langford family that requested for you to come. In no way am I saying that he is not going to sUKy or that he is going to Vandy. I just wanted to share some of things I have heard. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners -
So what is the incentive to being a clean program?
IUsafety replied to Brass Cannon's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
They have had a former player and the person assigning the grades admit to it. Still not enough. http://www.newsobserver.com/news/local/education/unc-scandal/article10122626.html The classes, some advertised as lectures but that never met and others listed as independent studies, were supervised by Deborah Crowder, a manager in African and Afro-American studies who a report from former U.S. Justice Department official Kenneth Wainstein says graded required end-of-semester work leniently as part of a “paper class” scheme to keep athletes eligible. Crowder was not a professor and admitted to investigators that she assigned grades without reading the papers. One of the basketball players, Rashad McCants, had previously told ESPN he took nothing but paper classes in the spring 2005 semester. His transcript showed he was in three independent studies plus one lecture class that had no instruction. He received straight A-minuses, making the dean’s list. 2017 March Madness Tournament Thread

14 Zags fouls to 6 SC fouls. SUKy fans would be going crazy over this. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners -
My first thought was that it meant it was time to look elsewhere. http://emojipedia.org/eyes/ [emoji102] Eyes A pair of eyes, glancing slightly to the left on most platforms. The Google version of this emoji previously showed only a single eye, despite the name of this character being eyes (plural). Sometimes used to indicate ‘pervy eyes’ to indicate approval of an attractive photo posted online; or ‘shifty eyes’ to convey a deceitful act. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

Hutch is spot on with this article. We just have to be patient and hope for the best. Maybe we can move the needle just a little bit by making noise. Whether we are showing displeasure towards one candidate or showing excitement towards another. Besides that, we just have to have faith that Fred Glass will make best decision available to him. Unless you have deep pockets, then maybe you can do more to move the needle. I enjoy reading all the input from the so called insiders. By the way, I heard that Billy Donovan may or may not have been spotted in T.I.S. buying Indiana apparel. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

I've read it on here a few times and pretty sure Snow said it was the reason Donovan would not be coming back to the college game anytime soon. I just searched and couldn't find anything quoting Donovan saying that. Just found that in general, most coaches in college don't like to deal with recruiting. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

Billy Donovan doesn't like recruiting from what I understand. Would it be be unheard of for a head coach to not recruit, or do very little of it, and let his assistants take care of that? Obviously he would have some input as into who he wants. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

Rick Pitino 1987-1989 Knicks and 1997-2001 Celtics. A two and three year stint. John Calipari 1996-1999 Nets. Three years. Moral of the story. Good college coaches don't last long in the NBA. Why wait Donovan? Come on back to Indiana, one of the most storied programs in the history of college of basketball. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

I saw a couple of months ago that he almost took a men's job a few years ago. He didn't elaborate on which program it was. It has to be boring winning all those games and championships in a row. If he is up for a new challenge, I hope it is not at Indiana. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners
