Schwarber returned to the field this past Saturday playing for the Mesa Solar Sox out in Arizona. Even though he went 0-3, it was encouraging to see him out there and there have been reports of him joining the Cubs for the World Series. 10/22 @thekapman: I just spoke with Theo about Kyle Schwarber. Says he's a month ahead of schedule. They will watch him via video. Definitely a possibility. Edit: Cubs: Joe Maddon says "it's a possibility" Kyle Schwarber makes World Series roster; will discuss in staff meeting Mon. (ESPN)

Because we would have another year under (first year!) defensive coordinator Tom Allen and we would have a QB (Lagow or King or Ramsey or even Diamont) improve and learn the the playbook better. Plus we could have all offensive weapons, i.e. Cobbs and Harris fully healthy? Why can't we have a good season?

They have looked awful at times (i.e. losing to Illinois State 9-7) and pretty good at other times (winning at Iowa 38-31). So who knows exactly which team will show up on Saturday. I will say, they started 0-2 with loses against a good Western Michigan team and Illinois State but they have been playing better lately; knocking down Iowa and MSU.

11/05 @ Rutgers 11/12 vs PSU These next four games will be crucial. If we can win 3 out of 4, I will be happy!

Saw somewhere on twitter that our own DC Tom Allen was a candidate for the Purdue job...I seriously hope that doesn't happen!

We need Feeney back; it's amazing how much better we can run the ball when he is blocking. I also think we need to open up the playbook a little more for Lagow in the first half. Either way, the defense should be prepared for another dual-threat quarterback; they did a pretty good job overall of containing JT Barrett last week.
