Feels like Queen will come down to us and Maryland. We'll have to pull him away from there, and I think McNeeley is the key to that. Also, Flory is 6'9, not 6'7. Him and Queen are very different players though and putting my bias aside I'd be just as thrilled to land Queen.

Auburn overtaking Duke is stunning

I figured this was Duke but really surprised we didn't make the final 4, and a little irritated/confused that Michigan did with their lack of NIL $ and struggles last year from a team/coaching perspective. I'm hoping he surprises us and chooses Kansas of those 4. Looking forward to a fun senior season but it's going to be tough knowing he'll likely be a Blue Devil.

Before his senior year at Kokomo starts, which I believe is the first week of August (I'm old enough to remember when we didn't go back until the end of August). So within the next 3-4 weeks we should know. Unfortunate he's not taking another visit but I think that has more to do with his busy playing schedule than anything else. He's been in Bloomington more than any recruit should need and we've continued to show interest all the way so at this point I'd say the staff has done everything within reason to get him. It just all comes down to what he wants. Duke and Cincy scare me the most but truthfully I could see him going anywhere out of these main 5-6 schools. He's done a tremendous job of not leaking much info.

Kokomo's got a lot of work to do. Need shooters with Flory. We had that last year. They all graduated.

This is one of those recruitments where everyone's got an opinion but the truth is no one truly knows where this winds up. We've definitely put forth the best effort that I could imagine to show him what we have to offer. It's all up to him to decide whether that's what he wants or not.

Their fans are real butthurt about it on Twitter, I got into a back-and-forth with a couple of them. Needless to say I have an extra rooting interest against Rutger from here on out.

Wouldn't have guessed that

Yeah I get why JHS and some others did, they're locked in as 1st rounders. I figured with TJD being in the 25-45 range he might want another opportunity to show out but maybe he likes where he's at and was more concerned with hurting his stock as you mentioned.

Interesting that he chose not to participate in the combine games. I guess he's got plenty of tape for NBA FO's to look at.

I'm assuming wherever this kid goes playing time won't be an issue. NIL and getting him to the league in the best shape likely will be. Be tough to beat out these teams in NIL but Woody should have the leg up in the latter.

Big freshman classes are becoming a thing of the past. We'll still be able to add a few but I'd rather see impactful guys brought into the program to help THIS season. Can't lose a bunch of momentum as a program.

I wouldn't just use a 4 year scholly on some random HS player unless a top tier guy became available. I'm not over the moon about this potential pickup but he's a one year filler and gives us an experienced depth piece. As long as we use the other 2 scholly's on higher impact players this is fine in my book. I'll put it this way, if this is our 13th scholarship I'd rather use it on him than sit on it.

I think it's a similar train of thought. If you're so unstoppable in the paint there shouldn't be many 3's taken. I don't expect to see Flory take any 3's next year at the HS level because he can dominate the paint just fine.
