I am as glad as anyone else that Alford is not the Coach of Indiana, but without Alford, and the three point shot that started during his senior year, that fifth banner is likely not hanging in Assembly Hall. If the three point shot had been available his freshman, sophomore and junior seasons, Alford's name may very well be at the top of that list. Now I too am glad that Cheaney is the IU all time leading scorer as well as the Big Ten all time leading scorer. As an Evansville Harrison High School graduate (although many years before Calbert), there isn't anyone I'd rather see on the top of that list.

To say Langford is the key to this game will likely apply to every game the rest of the season, with the possible exception of the next two Holiday cupcakes. Just as important, Morgan must stay on the floor, especially in the first half, and Smith needs another 9 point, 9 rebound, 0 turnover game or something similar, like the last game.

LSU just chucked up three bad three point shots on three possessions only down by four with plenty of time on the clock. Geez.

Sad news for Hoosier Nation. Anderson was a baller, on a great Final Four Hoosier team in 1992 - with Cheaney, both Grahams, Reynolds, Meeks, Henderson, Evans, Baily, Nover, heck of a roster. That 1991-1992 team has six of Indiana's top 14 all-time leading scorers (1 - Cheaney, 7 - Henderson, 8 - Bailey, 11 - Anderson, 12 - Evans, 14 - Greg Graham). Anderson was tough as nails on the court and from all accounts a great guy. RIP Eric Anderson
