  1. Well that's disappointing. Glad I didn't go, Southport Gym is only bout 5 minutes away from Mi Casa
  2. It seems hat we still struggle to feed the post , Bryant should of a had a field day but because we don't know now to run any plays for him he's just left getting the scraps from the guards. Troy had turnovers in the1st half,Good Job Troy!
  3. Haha yea it's definitely helped me retain IU knowledge over the years.
  4. Bryant, Davis, OG, & Morgan is the deepest FrontCourt we've had since 01-02 with Jeffries, Odle, Newton, & Leach. This is awesome.
  5. [attachment=2771:Garage IU pic II.jpg]Always a high point of the year for me.  I always have to get one.  Usually, i pick them up at Hoosier Hysteria, back in the day i'd get them at banks, but it's harder to find them now.  If I'm desperate i'll get them from the bookstore.  I go all the way back to 83.  Got the shrine in my garage.
  6. Great insight, man. Thanks for sharing it.
  7. So funny, Crean is hated on for not recruiting Indiana kids, then he lands one and people say the kid isn't worth a scholly. Ahhhhhhhhhh you're killing me.
  8. I know you're being serious, but it just made me laugh to read this post.
  9. I thought the same thing, he does not have a history of cheap shots, and I know that he went back on his verbal with us so obviously there's some disdain towards him, but I think calling him a "Thug" is insulting.
  10. I keep reading all this Devin Davis hype from a few posters on here, like he's gonna come right back in and take Holt and Hanner's minutes.  We need to be realistic here, because his bonehead decision on November 1st has put him way behind everyone else on the team.  He's lucky to have come back as quickly as he has, but him getting heavy minutes, let alone Starting is laughable to me.
  11. It really is man, it's been a long time since we've had that kind of depth in the Front Court.  It makes me think back to the early 90's when we had Nover, Eric Anderson, Alan Henderson, Cheaney, and company.  I'm very interested to see the playing rotations with these guys because 40 minutes isn't a lot of time to split between 5 players playing the same position.  We all know what Bryant can do or should be able to do, but what can Morgan bring to the table?  Will he be better than a Sophomore Holt?  Will Crean play them together on the floor?  Does Devin Davis even play next year?  These are all the things that pop in my head as I'm bored at work every day.
  12. I'm really sick of the expression "Creaning"
  13. I worry that Devin won't play for the Hoosiers again.
  14. The forgotton man, Woody, is Holt.  Many people overlook Holt, but i think with the addition of Bryant then Holt can make a lot of plays.  I really love Holt's old school game and just think of how much more effective he can be with a year of off season training and familiarity with things, plus not having to expend so much energy guarding an opposing 5 that outweighs him by 30 lbs and has 3 inches on him.  With the addition of Bryant, I am hoping that Emmit Holt among others will benefit and be allowed to play his natural position which is a 4 that doesn't need plays ran for him to be effective.
  15. This has been a fun thought of mine since Saturday after finding out about the addition of Thomas Bryant. Coach Crean has a lot of options next season, but I would think that the one thing that he knows he must improve is the Defense.  There's really no way of sugar coating it, IU was horrible at Defense this season.   I could easily say that we return all of our starters, and that we could go for chemistry and just start the same guys as we did this year only substitute Bryant for Hanner, but I still don't think that improves our Defense.  I really feel that for IU to make a noticeable improvement on Defense that Coach Crean has got to play bigger players on the court together .  Not only does Coach Crean like to play 3 guard lineups, but the guards that he's started together have typically been small guards, and while they've been effective on offense they've often times been exploited, defensively.   Next year, assuming everyone that's a core player comes back, then I'd like to see Yogi and James Blackmon Jr in the back court.  With Troy on the wing, Collin playing a stretch 4 kind of role and Thomas Bryant down low.  This lineup allows us to play bigger players which should help defensively, it lets Troy play his more natural position, it gives Collin more possibilities to do what he does best; find open shooters and make plays with the best offensive players that we have on the court, and it allows Bryant to be able to kick out to two of our better shooters and have space to make plays for himself around the hoop.  While I think that Rob Johnson is deserving to start, with only 4 guards on the roster, I think that he will need to be Yogi's backup.   From a Defensive standpoint, it allows us to match up against teams that have more size while still maintaining the ability to stretch the floor, but one key thing is that we will finally have weak side help around the rim.
  16. He's your classic tweener, but he likes to play offense out on the perimeter.  For us he would play the 4 alongside Hanner or whoever is playing our Post Position.  He is big and strong, and was not utilized much at Duke, albeit he was in the rotation, he was the only player in the Duke Rotation that was not a McD's All American.  I think he'd do very well for a team like Indiana.
  17.   Morgan is very good at rebounding and Defense, O.G. is also said to be good at Defense and boasts over a 7 foot wingspan, however the size that intrigues me is a Senior Hanner, a Junior Devan, and a Soph Holt.  We finally have depth at forward and should be able to play 2 forwards together at once on the floor rather than a bunch of wings and Hanner or Holt.  I've said before that I think that Hanner is doing a pretty good job so far this year, and I think that he'd be much more effective if he had another forward to play alongside him because I think he'd be able to help weak side and block a lot more shots and be in a better position to get more rebounds.
  18. I know a lot can still play out.  I like the idea of having a lot of core players back next year to go along with some potential Senior Leadership.  We have a lot of depth, particularly 3's and 4's that could cause a lot of matchup issues for teams.
  19. Having no Seniors on this team, makes me even more excited for next years team.  On Paper we are loaded at a lot of spots, and we will finally have size.  Next year could be Crean's best defensive team he's had while at Bloomington.
  20. Watched some of the Butler game yesterday, and I saw Austin play.  He looks exactly the same as I remember him.  I don't even know if Crean would play him this year if he remained on the team.  I can't think of anyone that I'd want Austin playing over.  I'm glad he's dominating over at Butler though, you know the Butler way.   :D
  21. I wonder how tall lil Watford will end up...?  Right now in that video he handled the rock more than I ever saw his brother while at IU, not to say that C Wat couldn't dribble, because he could but he didn't do it too much while attacking the basket, more to bring the ball up if our point guard was covered or to create space for that Wet Jumper of his.
  22. I completely agree!  Also, it allows you to see who the real fans are of the College game, you know guys that can actually give you names of players on other teams, rather than the slaps that have no idea what they're talking about yet they complain about our players, which are the only players they know in the College Game.
