He's our worst guard right now, and not sure it's close Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Phinisee blown by again. He wasn't amazing last year, but I miss that version Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
It says that no lineups with Rob on the floor are good, but that those lineups are better when you sub a different guard in for him. He's not helping the team this year, maybe because of injury. But either way, the team is generally not effective when he's playing. I don't think Rob is bad, but I think the passive version of him is. I'd love him to attack and look for his shot more. But if he's not going to do that then he's not adding anything other than a steady hand to a bad offense with no playmakers. The team needs more from him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm not giving up on Phinisee, but the team does not play better with him right now. Dakich had Wayne Winston on the other day, who used to do analytics for the Mavs and Knicks, and he said that almost all lineup combinations are worse with Phinisee. He just doesn't do anything right now to stress the defense. This is not a good team consistently, but the ceiling has proven to be fairly high with some good wins. I'd start with what I think is the highest ceiling lineup and adjust from there if it's now working. I think that's Durham, Green, Hunter, Smith, and TJD Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Right. Everybody unfortunately is terrible with Rob. I wonder if Green's sloppiness is less of a negative on the team than many think because the offense in general is so bad. For instance, Green takes some bad shots, but that would hurt a lot more if we were consistently getting good shots, so we were getting a bad shot instead of a good one. Instead Green taking a bad shot often means a different player isn't taking a shot that they're unlikely to hit. Rob, OTOH, is fairly steady, but because we don't have many playmakers, he doesn't contribute much. Hopefully this is all because of his injury, and he's a different player next year, but I'm concerned.

Wayne Winston was on with Dakich yesterday. Some interesting lineup notes. Interestingly he said there are no lineup combinations that involve Rob that are good. The best lineups have Green in. Hunter needs to play more. And TJD + Brunk is extremely terrible. Some of these seem obvious. I think people will be surprised about Green and Phin Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I took classes from him while Crean was there, and Crean was using him. I don't know the extent of his work, but he was doing lineup analysis like this. Some of our class assignments were things like finding the most effective lineups and making rotation recommendations. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Phinisee trailing by about 5 feet again. Terrible Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The guys who will be leaving next year have been good this game. The guys who are staying around have been no shows Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That was a couple inches from being very scary Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

TJD needs to take a seat the rest of this game. Not sure what's up with him, but this is by far the worst he's looked all year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm probably more disappointed in him than anybody else this year. He hasn't been terrible, but I really thought he would be a leader and make a jump this year. Instead he's just passive and consistently lackluster. And he's been about as effective on Simpson today as I would be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We're going to need Devonte to be unconscious again to have a chance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rob is flat footed like he's not expecting the screen half the time and ends up trailing by so much. There's no excuse to be trailing that much when we hedge like we do Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
I know Simpson has become a better 3 point shooter, but I'd still go under that screen until he knocks one down off the dribble Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How many wide open layups/dunks have they gotten off our hard hedge? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So many layups... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Green clearly got hit on the arm on that shot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm so disappointed in Rob this year. I really thought he was going to take a leap, but he doesn't really bring anything consistently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
