TheStillman got a reaction from ThompsonHoosier in Interesting Q&A with Coach Wilson
Haha of course. I pretty much said the same thing last year except it was go into the Mizzou game undefeated. Then we lost at BGSU.
One of these years things have to turn right? I mean even Kansas made it to a BCS bowl a few times and Baylor is now a national contender.
This is without a doubt the most talented defense we've had in years, that along with an offense that should get back on track with Sudfeld at the helm gives me some legitimate optimism going into this year. Of course if we lost at Wake Forest that will go down the drain.

Goal #1 is going to a bowl this season no doubt but I really hope this team can build some hype and get some national attention heading into the OSU game. If we're 4-0 heading into that game at home we can grab some headlines. -

If I've learned anything over my years... Always take it one game at a time lol. -

Yeah that would really get the attention of some recruits; especially if we play at least somewhat competitively. Just look at the win at Mizzou last year; it was mentioned throughout the season.

Me too I really think we may be on the verge of breaking out and surprising some people. Also excited to have Ohio St. At home this season. For some reason Wilson's teams have always played tough against Ohio St. Just imagine (and we very well may be) if we are 4-0 going into that game?

yes. knew there was another seemingly obvious scenario that i wanted to add to my points. couldnt think of it. thats exactly it, you see it all the time. they're inning killers.
pitchers have just proven to have no business being at the plate, period. in a sport that has way too much downtime as it is, replacing a pitcher's bat with a dh's is, to me, a must.

As a fan of an AL team there are few things more annoying or boring than when the O's are playing in an NL park, they have 2 outs with none or one man on base and the opposing team walks the 7th and 8th batter in order to face the pitcher to end the inning.

in my mind there's 4 primary reasons for the national league to adopt the dh:
- al has a big advantage attracting players like cruz, mccann, gattis, etc. when they hit free agency or deadline deals. same might be said for starters and nl.
- when nl goes to al parks for interleague play, nl uses a bench hitter. bench hitters rarely rival a dh.
- in the nl, when a starter is pitching well and it's late in a close game, often the manager is forced to remove him come his spot in the lineup for a legitimate hitter. everybody wants to see him continue pitching.
- pump some energy into the less potent league of this relatively sluggish sport
both leagues need to be the same. if the leagues never played each other then it wouldnt be an issue, but they do. i vote for dh. separate the pitching game from the hitting game, defense from the offense. when a sport recognizes an opportunity to improve, it should. i think it's more than a sensible improvement. al adopted the dh in 1973, so nl pitchers have been given 41 seasons worth of chances to prove they can hold their own and not dull the game...and here we are. i pay little to no attention when a pitcher comes up to bat. feels like 9/10 at bats a pitcher fails to either bunt or put the ball in play.
good to see big shuma still obliterating baseballs. hell of a pick by the cubs front office.

I think there's a big difference between announcing at a steak house and releasing something through IU tomorrow, which is likely what he will do. -

Lol no, I think it's funny he calls himself a PG :) -

Do people really think Yogi told JBJ he was leaving and JBJ immediately thought "hmm guess I better switch my Twitter bio to PG."

Everyone needs to relax. Bryant will be in candy stripes next year and any speculation otherwise is just people trying to get others riled up.

TheStillman reacted to mamasa in OFFICIAL: Ferrell returns for Senior Season
Not every damned thing an IU athlete does should have to be for the purpose of satisfying our fan base. I'm so frigging tired of college kids having every single thing scrutinized or analyzed. I'm sure, even though we think we know every single thought that goes through our players' minds, that occasionally, they may do something for the hell of it. Remember these are young adults, living in THEIR world, not OURS. Kids are allowed to be self serving at times. They give so much of their lives so that we can live through them. Not singling you out, but we act like their lives are lived so we can be happy with our teams. -

How about everyone just cools it with the assumptions of Yogi's character and ability to lead based on his tweets...

TheStillman got a reaction from Ranger78 in (2015) JUCO SG Mychal Mulder to UK
Either way a poster stating they saw something then when questioned on the validity immediately deleting the thread doesn't really lend much credence to the claim. I certainly wouldn't say there was any sort of leak as that implies the texts are out there for anyone to see.

Saying the texts were leaked is a bit of a stretch. A poster said he heard from a friend that JBJ texted something about leaving.

Cardale Jones disagrees.
That being said I don't think this looks good.
