  1. Mission accomplished I guess. Going to need to find something at half on offense to keep our defense off the field. Our defense can compete with their offense just not confident the OL can block them
  2. That wasn’t good. Need points here though. Let’s win ugly!
  3. This is going to be a long night. They are owning both lines of scrimmage. Not sure if screens would work either on offense, they aren’t exactly even blitzing us
  4. I think they are too busy googling naked dudes. One of those looked like Barry Alvarez
  5. I went to Plymouth HS and we were the Rockies in football and played Rockie Top after every score for home games. Heard it plenty of times but would love to not hear it tonight
  6. Hoosier target Jason Harris commits to Colorado in the All American bowl on The Duece. Show ‘em what he’s missing out on!
  7. Seeing as this conversation has evolved well past the discussion of the Arkansas game would someone explain to me what the deal is with the administration? I’ve read of McRobbie taking money from the Big Ten TV revenues for a study hall and “pet projects” here in this forum previously. I don’t want to break the rules but I just found a IndyStar article from a ways back saying the narrative of McRobbie taking money from the athletic program is more fiction than fact. It references a global studies building and that other large university presidents have done similar things making him little different from his peers. I can wrap my head around the compliance department hamstringing a coach a bit but I guess I’m a bit naive as to how the President is making our beloved basketball program more difficult. Maybe the answer is obvious but I guess I’m not understanding what McRobbie and co are doing differently even if their focus is more academic than athletic which maybe it should be in their role. Forgive me if this has been covered previously and mods feel free to move if needed but generally curious. Just still a bit bothered by the way we lost the other night and I got today and tomorrow off so my mind is wandering but I’m just trying to understand why it would so much more difficult to win here than elsewhere.
  8. I don't agree with that, and that surely wasn't me saying that. I think IU has the talent to win that game for sure, but I think that team is a tourney team in the SEC. I found them extremely athletic, they just aren't very deep with 3 transfers sitting out as was mentioned by those awful announcers last night several times. Joe's stroke is very nice, and was surprised he didn't go off in both games last year. He made up for it last night in the second half. Just a very frustrating loss so I'd credit a lot of the reactions to that. Definitely a winnable game, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm concerned as this season is shaping up a lot like last year. I'm very wary of the BIG10 slate. As covered ad nauseam already if our guard play doesn't improve we may get eaten alive.
  9. I mean ND had a lot of parallels to last night, I don't want to get involved in your back and forth with TX, but we blew big leads in both of those games, just Arkansas is quite a bit more athletic and got hot in the second half, which ND did as well but we were able to take advantage of our size down low late unlike last night.
  10. Have you read some of these threads? The trashing of a recruit is not limited to social media. Just this past week Brooks was getting trashed on this very forum as if he wouldn't be of help to our Hoosiers. I'd take him in a heartbeat with what I saw last night. I may just be frustrated with that collapse in the final 8 minutes, but I think we could use him along with several others we missed out on. We need some talent badly, in my opinion.
  11. Really going out on a limb there aren’t you? He could have called a timeout at any point during that 15-1 run and change the scheme. Instead I saw a lot of TJD out at the 3 point line handing the ball off. What is the offensive plan anyway? I’m not sure I really understand what we’re trying to do at times
  12. Those recruits seeing that even if you dominate in a game you’ll likely get abandoned. What a poor showing and no excuse for it. TJD was taking over until we stopped going to him
  13. Archie subbed in Franklin right after that 3? Not happy with the shot selection from Green? Curious who he’s in for - this TV time-out has me in suspense
  14. Is Durham really a captain? I thought I read that here a week or so ago. Are there any other captains?
  15. Agree, I’m afraid this is one of those teams Brunk doesn’t match up well with. They are looking to take him off the dribble every time. And Durham may be lucky to stay in this game
  16. Arkansas is extremely athletic
  17. I watched my first NBA action over Christmas. I get the favoritism part but what blatant cheating has occurred? I’m not into the NBA at all but I may have missed what you’re referring to.
  18. Knuckleheads in his last post. My only question paired with one of his previous posts is how much are these shooters going to play over a Sr Durham, Jr Phin, Jr Damezi and Rs So Hunter? Franklin had his best game by a mile and still only saw the floor for 14 minutes. Is it valid concern that we add some shooting but due to their experience and lack of understanding of the defensive scheme they fail to see the floor?
  19. Happy with the win, but I really hope Durham can play more consistently. He's going to get a lot of minutes being a Jr, and the games are only going to get tougher. That was not a very good ND team.
  20. Can we put Franklin back in the starting 5?
  21. Finally, Franklin’s in and good things happen.
  22. Franklin playing to well today to see crunch time minutes? Sub him in for Durham please.
  23. Exactly, it’s not like he’s played well in some of these games. The sarcasm from people when they are playing well is just as tiring as the doom and gloomers in this forum. He’s always shown excellent footwork in the post. It’s when he’s facing athleticism on defense that gives him problems. ND is perfect for him as they don’t have those types of athletes. Now if Green would stop the one handed post passes we could blow this team out. Keep it up Hoosiers!
  24. Last game of the year, Brent. Can’t hold anything back now.
