I’ve read this before on this forum and I think it’s shown the last few games but for IU to be a successful team Durham needs to be the 5-6 option not 2-3. He does a lot of things well but I’m not convinced he’s a high quality Big10 player.

That’s what I don’t understand - these problems were very apparent last season. You’d think a coach this day and age would be targeting sharpshooters like crazy. Maybe that was intended to be Brooks but it’s maddening to me. I think we’ll still win this one and make the tourney but man alive you have to hit the 3 ball in this era

Durham was so much more effective driving early - seems like we abandoned it so early. I know their sagging but this Nebraska team is so small. Just a bit frustrating. I think we’ll win but this is very concerning to me the rest of the conference slate.

Why are we not attempting to use our size against this team? We aren’t a good enough shooting team to not be throwing it into the post near every possession

I’ll bite - I was one of those critics of their play in the first half. Brunk was self explanatory but Durham is our second leading returning scorer and he did not play well at all in the first half. He has a tendency to want to drive through guys and if his shot isn’t falling he’s another Damezi in my eyes with less rebounding. I was happy to see him turn it around in the second. We’re going to need him obviously but I do think we need him to find more consistent offense.
