Oy vey . I’ll give u Sampson but the other two nahhhhhhh. Woodson is just the ultimate example of “who u know” as opposed to what u know when making big boy hires. Davis was simply that the players campaigned hard I believe to have him as coach. This is the period of time I was a student there. I really wanted to work at IU athletics but it was quite evident that the “process” was a who do u know type environment. Upsetting but when I did graduate school at UNC , I got hired there rather quickly by their athletics department. However that environment is a results based administration and there was a lot of turnover ( but u knew that going in). With departments that are highly coveted u want turnover because u have to get better than the competition. Honest new people = new ideas. This is were we fail miserably at IU. I’m glad we we got lucky with Coach cig because if IU didn’t hire him Duke was going to.

I didn’t know about the last game until I logged in here and they were playing the second half. Times have changed.

From a Football perspective (soccer to you animals), high school is not really a place to make your mark if you want to be a professional anymore. If anything lot’s of academies asking players not to join high school teams. I would imaging that if kids want to play for their high school it won’t really matter from one school to the next.

I wonder how Rourke’s looked when he was a sophomore. QB are sometimes a wild card. One year they stink the next they finally get it.

You should tell them they’re morons and that other universities are laughing at them for being so incompetent. Haven’t won anything since 87 and I’m so glad many more are waking up to the reason why.

It’s rude. You can’t get anyone to agree with you so you deflect and question a person’s acumen. I’ve fired many a professor for doing this when they would argue this way instead of taking care of their department. You’re losing the big picture and just simply refusing to see it.
