  1. Yeah I agree. Honestly, he has already had good playoff runs just not the title. Same at Butler. I’d take final fours and a chance at a national title. I think he will get over the hump at some point.
  2. X’s and O’s are top notch. He knows Indiana. Respected by all the high school coaches. His time in the NBA actually helps recruiting because his resume at Butler wouldn’t put him over the top with some top kids. He has been successful in the NBA and in college. There isn’t a better fit culturally, ethically, or emotionally for IU/Fanbase/Stevens.
  3. I could see a scenario where he accepts and it’s announced. Michael Lewis is hired as Associate Head Coach and takes over until the end of the NBA season. I think Boston would just tell Brad to move along, but it’s just a scenario that could happen.
  4. It’s where I am at. I’d expect as soon as it’s signed it will be out and a press conference will be announced.
  5. Poor weather day to be flying.
  6. Looks like I went to bed right before our insiders leaked it. Woke up and nothing will get accomplished today but hitting refresh.
  7. Well, I mean he tagged SirYacht it must be true.
  8. And if he goes back to the final four people will be clamoring for Beard if Brad isn’t coming.
  9. Beilein can be the associate head coach and let’s Brad finish the season. Stays on to be the top assistant and offensive genius assistant.
  10. If Brad comes it’s going to be some big money. $7-8 mil a year plus a good amount for assistants. In my mind if Dolson is going after Stevens, he is all in and isn’t going to lose his guy over $$.
  11. All we are trying to do is win. Beilein wins. There is talent on the roster now and room to make some a move for another player. Beilein can win in year 1. 4-6 winning years sounds like exactly what we are trying to do. Stevens is the target IMO. But if he says no, screw going the mid major route. Get someone who has won at the Power 5 level. Beilein, Pitino, Oats, Musselman, etc.. The coach needs to have experience at the highest level of college basketball because the league is too tough to bleed in a new head coach to the Power 5.
  12. I went back and looked at Beilein last season and Michigan was 24/2 ranked offense/def for 2019. I think the moral of the story is IU is going to be getting an upgrade with the coaches who are available.
  13. Ironically, all 3 of those coaches have a higher ranked defensive efficiency than offensive on Kenpom. Which surprised me honestly. All 3 are good coaches. 2020-21 off/def efficiency rankings Kenpom Oats - 34/2 Musselman - 35/14 Enfield - 30/19 Archie - 64/38 Drew - 7/44
  14. I’ll beat the opposite drum. Beilein with our current roster could win immediately. Is he the long term answer? No. But he fixes things immediately. Could even hire him and do a coach in waiting as the associate head coach. Or just have the program in a much better spot for when he retires in 6-7 years. We don’t need a coach for the next 30 years, we just tried that. We need a coach who could win now. Beilein fits that bill.
  15. Boosters just paid $10 mil to get rid of the last guy. Seems like we may finally be serious about a new head coach. Hopefully we get our Saban (Stevens). Oats would be a great pickup.
  16. We do have shooters in Leal, Franklin, Stewart, and Lander. I think part of the problem was the coaching staff and having players play tight. Beilein has a history of player development and offensive fluidity. Plus he has scholarships to use to get a player he needs.
  17. If it’s true its Beilein, then have his successor on staff to take over when he retires.
  18. The easy decision was made. Now the difficult decision in hiring a winner. Good luck to Archie. Seemed like a good guy and family. He’ll land on his feet somewhere.
  19. Bravo. Love you are the one to post it.
  20. He wins, but would he step away before he burned it to the ground?
  21. I expect a post in the morning from you about Archie still having his job. Keep the streak alive.
  22. If Dolson tried and trustees blocked it, then Archie should know his time is drawing near. He should get out before he is fired next off season.
