Wade’s NC State deal was reportedly 6/19 and he was whining about their NIL budget in his actual intro presser, though it was enough to get Darrion Williams on board. And then you’re never gonna be better than the 3rd program in your state and you’re joining a declining conference. Just don’t see it at all. But if that’s the gig, good for him. I’m sure he’ll do well.

Can see no universe in which that is Schertz’s next move. It’s just not a great job.

It’s been a minute since I’ve wanted to see a coming together as much as the Duke whistle and Dan Hurley. There is a perfectly reasonable chance he gets tossed.

This one might be worth keeping an eye on: Toledo PG Leroy Blyden entering the portal. Freshman of the year in the MAC averaged 16pts/4rebs/4.5asts on 46/41/85 shooting splits. Better than 2/1 asst/to as a freshman. With 3 years of eligibility imagine he will be in high demand and as a Detroit kid and with Fears graduating it certainly feels like an MSU thing, but we’ll see.

Read this one. Ellis is about to turn 23 and someone's gonna pay north of 3 mil for him, though at least part of it is apparently a cushion for him to pay his EuroLeague buyout. If it turns out to be Duke don’t be surprised if Deron Rippey decommits. Fair to assume they told him during his recruitment that he’d get the ball. We’re now easily within range of late rd 1 NBA money.
