One thing I saw that was not mentioned was the strong, position defense that Max shown when he entered the game.  I noticed on two possession that UI threw it low and couldn't advance to the rim because of Max.  It was either kicked out or I believe stolen by RoJo.  Anyway, I thought he had a couple of key defensive stops down low.
 
Again, role playing is going to be very key for this team to succeed.

It's good to have basketball again.  It seems like some of the pressure fizzled a bit.
 
Glad to see some positive takeaways from the game.  Still much needed work to be done.
 
Bottom line....this was easily a 40 point + win with our full roster.
 
There would have been no struggling.
 
If you were at all disappointed with Hanner tonight, you shouldn't be.  Statistically this is the most productive he has been in his entire career.  The more minutes he can get, the better.  This will force him to be better given the low post situation.  If he has a couple of guys that can play ahead of him, it only lets him hide behind the bench.  This is a kid that I still have faith in that needs pushed in the right direction. I will wait patiently for that break out moment.  Last night I thought was a really good first step for him.

I was going to summarize, but you all have done a better job than I could have :) The traffic flow/parking was ridiculous! I was there 30 minutes before but got to my seat w 3 minutes to spare. Poorly marked lots. But, 1 nice cop helped- my oldest is on crutches, so he directed us closer (without THE PARKING PASS) to drop her off, then let me park there. The Assembly Hall staff was beyond helpful and caring. Youngest was thrilled to get pic with cheerleaders. It's just impossible for me to have a bad time at Assembly Hall!!

FAST TIMES AT HOOSIER HIGH
 
SCENE 1:
 
Sheehey: Hey, you guys had candy stripe pants on when you came in here.
Troy Spicoli: Well, something must have happened to them. [Will points out the sign on the door]
Troy Spicoli: [reading] No pants, no shoes...
Troy Spicoli and Stoner Buds: No dice! Ohhhh.
Sheehey: Right. Learn it. Know it. Live it.
Troy Spicoli: He's the full hot orator. [The guys begin running disoriented wind-sprints]
Sheehey: Why don't you get a jumper Troy Spicoli?
Troy Spicoli: What for?
Sheehey: You need NBA money.
TroySpicoli: All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.    
 
SCENE 2:
 
Emmitt Spicoli: Hey, you're suspending me, and I only had half of one beer!
Mr GlassHand: Yes.
Emmitt: Hey bud, what's your problem? And STOP CALLING ME SPICOLI...I ONLY HAD HALF A BEER!
Mr. GlassHand: No problem at all. I think you know where the front office is Emmitt Spicoli.
Emmitt: [stunned] You dick!    
 
SCENE 3:
 
Mr. CreanHand: Where is Stanford Spicoli? I saw him earlier today, near Cook Hall, is he still on campus? Anyone? [Yogi raises hand]
Mr. CreanHand: Yes, Mr. Ferrell?
Yogi: I saw him outside, near 'Sports'.
Mr. CreanHand: How long ago?
Yogi:  Last Saturday night.
Mr. CreanHand: All right. Bring him in. [Yogi exits]
Mr. CreanHand: What is this fascination with bars? What is it that gets inside of your heads? There are some coaches at SEC schools who look the other way at drunken players who never attend class. It's a little game they both play. They pretend they don't see you, and the players pretend they don't party and cut class! Now, in the end, who pays the price? THEY DO!
Stanpicoli: [entering] Hey, wait a minute. There's no birthday party for me here! Hola, Mr. CreanHand.
Mr. CreanHand: What's the reason for your bloodshot eyes?
Stanpicoli: Just couldn't make it on time.
Mr. CreanHand: You mean you couldn't or wouldn't?
Stanpicoli: See, there was a full crowd at the food lines at Taco John's.
Mr. CreanHand: Food will be eaten on your time. Why are you continuously frought with the munchies for these practices, Mr. Stanpicoli? Why must you shamelessly waste my time like this?
Stanpicoli: [thinks it over] I don't know.
Mr. CreanHand: [writes I DON'T KNOW on the chalkboard and then steps back to admire it] I like that. Hmm Hmm. "I don't know," that's nice. 'Mr. CreanHand, will I play the first four games this season?' 'Gee Mr. Stanpicoli, I don't know.' That's nice, I really like that. You know what I'm gonna do? I'm going to leave your words on my board for all my recruiting classes to enjoy, giving you full credit of course, Mr. Stanpicoli.
Stanpicoli: All right! (Stanpicoli has had Twinkies and Doritos delivered to practice]
Mr. CreanHand: Am I hallucinating here? Just what in the hell do you think you're doing?
Stanpicoli: Learning about Columbia with Hannerpicoli, and having some food.
Mr. CreanHand: Mr.Stanpicoli, You're on dangerous ground here. You're causing a major disturbance on my time.
Stanpicoli: I've been thinking about this, Mr. CreanHand. If I'm here and you're here, doesn't that make it our time? Certainly, there's nothing wrong with a little feast on our time.

i remember being at a "Halloween" party with a huge mental distraction hanging over me.  All the Dads took off to an isolated TV viewing area to watch the announcement.  Let's just say we celebrated more than just Halloween that night.
