(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU
VO5 replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Exact same thoughts. TW is a top 10 player and much better than Brooks right now. You take the player who is better -
Romeo- heart says IU, head says KU. Going with KU TJD- IU

(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
VO5 replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Interesting timing. I wouldn’t be surprised with a TJD commitment in the near future -
Thanks guys, really do appreciate it.

Just wanted to say..I was in a head-on collision today where I probably should have lost my life. I’ve never been much of a prayer guy, but today I just might change that.

Pretty happy we didn’t get Bazley now. That would’ve been a tough pill to swallow

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

I played high school basketball and online games and find the 2 ways of communicating completely different. -

It’s different in the fact that you aren’t in person with your buddies when playing video games. That changes the dynamic quite a bit to the point where communication is absolutely necessary if you want to do well. In sports, you’re physically there and have certain expectations from teammates because of all the practice you go through. It’s quite different -

Just gonna say that talking on Fortnite and communicating in sports are completely different things lol -

I 100% agree with this. I don’t think Romeo could make it right now in the NBA. After next year? I could see it, but leaning towards no. After 2 years? Absolutely. Like you said, some players need more seasoning. And that’s ok -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

He can absolutely get that in college too. I just think he really hasn’t been forced to do much else in high school because he’s so far above the competition. -

I think Romeo lacks creativity on the offensive end. From what I’ve watched of him, he pretty much either shoots or puts his shoulder/head down and drives in a straight line to the basket. He got away with it in high school, but he really needs more of an offensive package to excel in college. Just my opinion. He will still be really good. -

I haven’t seen anyone reporting that Romeo is likely to take another visit to Vandy. Just speculation -

UL still has sanctions to go through and their team won’t be good next year. Not sure why he would consider them, but it is his choice -

Agreed. But you won’t win in the BIG with warm bodies. Their best 2 players play the same position as well -

I don’t see underwood lasting very long if he keeps recruiting like this -

Last thing I’ll say on the subject of dorms in this thread, but I guarantee if you asked our players about living in normal dorms or dorms like UK has they would pick the UK dorms 10/10 times -

Yes, the dorms are much better than the average student dorm. That’s not my point. You guys are treating this like the players never get out of them and don’t mingle with other students. That they aren’t getting the “true” college experience and I think that’s false. But we can agree to disagree on this one :) -

I mean, it’s not like those guys are confined to their dorms. I guarantee they go out and hang with other students in their dorms and have other students come to theirs. You guys are making it sound like they are completely separate entities and I just don’t believe that’s the case. -

I get what you’re saying, but it’s not like those guys at Kansas and UK are “separate” from the student body. I’m sure they mingle and do everything that other normal college students do too. Just like here. That doesn’t change because they have their own dorms. Sometimes I think our hatred for other schools like UK, Kansas, Duke, etc. really prevents rational thinking by otherwise really intelligent posters. My 2 cents anyway.
