All it takes is a little exaggeration or misunderstanding from 1 person that people respect or believe is in the know and it snowballs. take this board for example. People respect Chris007 for example and while I don’t think he would purposely mislead anyone, if he shared that we interviewed Beard for example because he was told that and that was incorrect, we only vetted him or took a call from his agent, this board would likely believe and repeat that we interviewed Beard and he was a real candidate and that would then make its way off this board to word of mouth and social media and impact Vegas odds etc it doesn’t take much to get incorrect info swirling and in some cases it was never intentional sorry Chris007 for using you as an example, I did because what you say travels and travels quickly.

100% these people are either getting bits and pieces of the real story or aren’t getting anything but using their position around the situation to seem relevant to their friends. if folks signed NDAs but are still leaking info on the daily to their friends for them to pump gifs on a message board then Dolson needs to reevaluate his inner circle

Anymore details as to where they met, anyone that saw them together? Any flight details from Brad’s flight there and back? While this was quite some time ago it is interesting and just curious if there is more info on this?

I appreciate your reply and what you shared. while Stevens was not my #1 like many here, I would still love to have him and if my top ones aren’t options then he is way safer than an up and comer is. Likely the same for you but the lack of verifiable details is a big challenge for me and many others. If you could put Scott and Brad even in the same city on a certain date that is recent that could likely be verified and mean something. its just odd that nothing like that exists.

I agree, IU would tell others before him. What I don’t understand is that when told by a donor that it’s Brad Stevens, why not press that person further? If they are calling him to tell him that they aren’t being secretive and would likely tell him everything they know. Everyone that I have seen post things around this just say “it’s Brad” and then post the years and salary. What’s more important is confirming the other details like when was Stevens with Scott or Pam and where? How many times did they meet and when was the last time? What does Brad’s daughter think of this? Who are the people around Scott that do know and which one of them told you the donor this was happening and when was the last time they told you that? if the donor can answer a lot of those questions I would start believing. Just saying it’s Brad and 6 years $66mm or whatever is very vague and could be really really old info

I likely won’t get the whole story until some time afterwards but yes, it does appear that he did not get his man unless his man was always a lesser tier/lesser accomplished coach all along but I don’t think that is the case at all.
