There's an IU fan who's some kind of marketing/IT guy who let loose a fairly impressive string of tweets as to how this makes sense for ESPN.

Well the app is being stupid, but College Gameday tweeted "We see you. #iufb4gameday." Already 500+ retweets and favorites.

Well, it's all subjective, but I'm not really sure why you are making such a huge deal out of this. It's been associated with IU for decades. It has nothing to do with Mike Davis. And talk to Ohio State fans. They seem to have a thing for cursive.

Its been on the back of the basketball warmups for decades. They've sold shirts with the font for just as long. Its been used in other sports as well (baseball, for one). Its on the NEZ window. It may be on our new turf next year. It's a classy, traditional look. I like the block I, and we wore it not 2 weeks ago, but it's not going to be our base look as it is not distinctive to IU.

It will probably be about 60/40 IU fans. It hasn't been as bad since the early 2000s. Still OSU fans will be loud so our fans need to step it up. It is getting close to a sellout already, based on our ticket site. At the very least, the students need to step up and STAY.

This is some of the worst analysis I've ever seen. They played well for the most part. Still too many big plays.

Why do people do this after one game? Why? Aren't we all adults here? Can we use our brains? Is it too much to ask not to freak out because we ALMOST lost game #1? We've already shown some pretty good improvement...I guess anyone not planning a trip to Pasadena might want to reconsider!

No, I'm the same way. And it has nothing to do with Crean. Football is just my favorite sport. Unfortunately, southern IN is like another planet when it comes to trying to discuss football with people.

We have a good coaching staff. Wilson was a hot name when we hired him. WMU hardly has a "big time coach." Our staff doesn't get forever, but we've got to let them develop something instead of just giving up and going after the next shiny new thing. And what "big time coach" would come here? We could offer $6-7 mil and many would still laugh at us. Let Wilson build something. Hell, IU fans were already grumbling about Hep before he passed away.

We can beat UM. I know, until we do it, it's hard to pick a W, but we can beat them.

I expect to win that, but there's no "sadly." They are pretty good.
