    WTF. That is what people have been saying for thousands of posts. The critique here is the two players in question, based on actual performance, are lower on the shot-making spectrum than others, anticipated "jump" be damned.

    Which is why you look for a player to compliment him. As Cig says, you're looking for multiplication, rather than addition.

    The point of the portal is you can recruit to actual performance and not projection. With a young Rice, there is no reason not to look at a more seasoned player who is light out from three.

    not sure about numbers, but now you're running into the problem. Guys don't transfer to sit on the bench. Maybe money eases that pain.

    The transfer rule is subject to a court injunction. NIL changed everything, with the court saying you can't restrict a kid from transferring if he can make more money elsewhere. Education be damned.

    Exactly. How many times did we see Kopp sit in the corner. How many times was it leal or whomever was playing that spot. The ball goes into the post to die, trying to force things thru double and triple teams.

    It is at IU. And that’s the problem. Then look at Painter and Edey. Uconn let him score his points and defended the perimeter = National Championship. You need to be more dynamic than just post play.

    Look, you have to get your priority guys in first and either get them locked up or move on. Having second priority kids coming in first just mucks things up. If I am Payne, before the visit I'm on the phone saying WTF, is Ballo your man or me? I am not betting on anything until the ink is dry and the players show up.

    Nothing chicken little about it. Looking at the past, few teams are able to pull in 3 top 25 or 50 players. If Mediocre Mike does it, he'll be on the Mt. Rushmore of portal hauls. Whether that equates to Championships, we'll see.

    That's exactly right. Not many teams pull it off. We'll see though. So far none of these guys are actually "committed."

    Weren't we "told" though that the staff had made all these new "connections" with players/agents and such and we where ready to move? To date -- nada, nothing, zilch. I guess we'll see.
