    Two of the most competitive people I’ve ever known were quiet and reserved. The “take it all in” type but would bite your head off in a pickup game of basketball. No need to be brash and loud to be competitive or effective. I’d rather have a more stoic personality on the sideline.

    I'm inclined to agree here. There's a reason that the military academies in football run an option offense. It helps close the competitive gap against more talented and athletic opponents they face. McColloum could be using the same mindset with Drake but could be flexible to change with a different program.
