Game Thread. Maryland @ Indiana 3:30 ESPNU
indianato replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Definitely not lacking in confidence. Defense is getting better. Quarterback play is what is killing this team. Unless he can make the midrange to deep throws accurately and without turnover, teams will continue to sit on the run. Sent from my LG-H810 using BtownBanners mobile app -

Does anyone else feel like once we win a couple of these type games, that maybe the floodgate will open to a 9-3 or 10-2 season? We are so close! Sent from my LG-H810 using BtownBanners mobile app -

Offensive line is getting blown up Sent from my LG-H810 using BtownBanners mobile app -
Was listening to the peegs podcast today and was pretty disappointed to hear Matt Weaver say that there was very little separation between Lagow and Diamont. He also said he expected Diamont to play some this year. Sent from my LG-H810 using BtownBanners mobile app

So Rabjohns was on local radio and confirmed what some of you guys are saying. Lagow will be the starter but will probably need a few games to solidify himself. Cameron is right there with Diamont for second string. Really likes coach Allen and said for the first time he can remember that the defense has some depth and the guys have the look of big ten quality athletes. Pass rush is lacking. Opponents will see a lot of the run game. Thinks Florida international will get swamped by our run game. Says we should have an advantage with the offensive line and the stable of running backs. I'm not blowing up wilson and the team. Not shredding my season tickets. I was just hoping that the #1 juco pocket passer would be a little more polished and be able to pull away from Diamont. That's all I'm saying. Sent from my LG-H810 using BtownBanners mobile app

True but the BTN guys are gonna be a little more positive and less realistic. Weaver was a student manager for the football team and around the team a lot more than the traveling road show clowns from BTN. I guess I was just hoping for a little bit more from Lagow. Indiana v. Minnesota - Post Game Thread
indianato replied to MartintheMopMan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Not really. If IU continues to win, then it meant nothing. Good teams lose to bad teams. Sometimes really good teams lose to really bad teams. After a good or bad game, turn the page and move on. -

Look, even Knight's golden years, the team would struggle against lesser competition. The 87 team won a couple squeakers on the road. Players aren't always gonna be on. Just the way it is. If you can figure it out, bottle it and money will be meaningless the rest of your days. If superior teams didn't struggle some times against inferior competition then there would be a lot of undefeated champions since 76. -
Analysis: Plenty of blame to go around in most recent debacle
indianato replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Wilson has to go. I hate saying it because that condemns IU to a few more losing seasons while a coaching staff gains traction. However, look at the writing on the wall for future teams under Wilson. I think it's safe to say that next year's team will not be as good as this one. New qb, Howard possible pro, graduations and the same old defense to go with it. If Wilson can't win with this team, he won't win with any future IU team. He hasn't earned an extension of his contract and without one, recruiting will probably suffer. IU needs to take the sour medicine after the season, get a new head coach and suffer a couple more losing seasons in favor of a brighter future. -

I have been the biggest Wilson defender for many reasons. None of these reasons are valid anymore. Fire him and start over. -

I feel like if IU picks up where they left off last week that they could hammer Penn St. today. Even if a little sluggish I think the Hoosiers win today. Gonna be the win that gets the ball rolling. -
Analysis: The significance of a 4-0 start

I agree. Hell, let doom and gloomers hit the road and let fans have fun and root the team on. Upsets happen every Saturday. Its why the games are played. -

Has anyone noticed this guy has an anti IU slant? He ignores IU when possible in his articles and when he does mention them, it's usually negative. Usually I ignore writers like this but with IU football getting little coverage anywhere but BTN, I go there and I am reminded what a jerk he seems to be. Anyone else notice this or am I just crazy?

no way glass goes anywhere. He has found money for buildings and coaches. Money talks. He keeps the donations rolling, he stays.
