  1. Some online saying Michigan doesn't seem to be recruiting him as hard anymore
  2. Supposedly sold Rice and Carlyle on shooting as many 3's as you'd like. Give Essegian the Devonte Green green light and let's cook!
  3. How many spots do we still have? 4? If Carlyle and Rice end up committing like the crystal balls predict. Portal C - drops to 3 Still have room to add 3 more guys.. Newton, Cupps, Leal are scholarships 11, 12, and 13 regardless who shows up.
  4. Not sounding promising per Rabby Can only hope it is a meniscus, 5-6 week recovery much better than ACL/MCL. Had a QB I coach tore his meniscus mid-season this past fall. Was back playing in a post-season game 5 weeks later. If he can return to full contact football in 5 weeks, I have no doubts Trey will be fine. Just have to hope it is the best case scenario here.
  5. Red items usually have red dye 40 and that causes me to become even more irritable, so no, sorry. I only take other colors of pills. Thanks for the offer though!
  6. Can you share some of your kool-aide with me, please.
  7. Archie got 4, so every coach for the rest of time must be given 4 regardless of other factors.
  8. Fans? Maybe a small part. style of play, Woodson’s offense, publicly bashing a Montverde player, publicly stating it’s not his job to run sets for shooters. fan craziness is a simple cover.
  9. @Chris007 @JerryYeagley23 @KathywithaC what say you all?
  10. "2) There’s a meeting happening next Tuesday that will likely via leaks/smoke shed some light on the administration’s focus." Focus as in retaining or letting go or focus as in which direction to pursue a replacement?
  11. Another thing I want to add to your post because I thought it was good stuff: I have seen some online say "he's just another former IU guy" There is a MAJOR difference between Woody and May, besides the obvious of age and whatnot. Dusty was a manager, had to BUST HIS TAIL daily to perform his duties to the highest level, no scholarship, no playing time, no glory, did it for the love of the university. Didn't have the god given skill and athleticism of Woodson. He has worked very hard through the ranks and you think he's going to come here and sit around? No. Chance. He'd be hungry to prove himself and has had to his entire basketball life.
  12. While I agree that the academic expectations are there, it doesn't change the fact Collins has brought in more higher rated players more consistently to the Big Ten than Dusty has at FAU. Regardless what the academic restrictions might be, May has had more success with less talent (247 rated talent) than Collins.
  13. And potentially lots of spots! Or maybe not as many as there would have been if Woodson stays.
  14. I honestly believe if Archie had NIL, he would've been more successful here.
  15. I would not. Collins has had his chance at a Big Ten university for several years and can't cut it. He has had more talent across the board than May while May has done more with less. Over the last two seasons Collins has gone 42-31. Collins has had an average of 49 O rating and a 51 D rating per Bart Torvik while pulling in the #81 and #67 ranked recruiting classes per 247 sports. May has gone 57-11 (while playing more major conference teams in the non-conference than Collins and NW). His O rating is an average of 26.5 with a defensive rating average of 86.5. May has done this while landing the #180 and #97 recruiting classes. Collins has made 2 tournaments in his 11 years at NW (projected to make his 3rd this year) with an average seed of 8. May took FAU to the tourney (for the first time ever) as a 9 seed and took them to the final four. They are projected to make the tournament again this season. May will have taken FAU to almost as many tournaments as Collins in half the amount of years and with far less overall talent. I am not saying May is the answer long term over others, however, Chris Collins should be no where near this coaching search or discussion.
  16. That is 100% fair, and I agree. Just win baby! I do, however, think that a May hire (or even Pearl) injects a bolt of lightening into the state and they will show us what real recruiting looks like. Be out on the trail tirelessly. Be involved majorly (from the HC role). Remember, we still have plenty of $$ for the portal and a new hire breathes excitement into the program and gets some players interested that maybe wouldn't have been. Similar to the Cig stuff from football portal time. (All of this is mostly just hopes and wishes)
  17. Yes, he is from Indiana but what were his HS rankings? Not saying he didn't recruit him but we need bigger recruitment wins and connections to agencies to land big time recruitments.
  18. This is what I was wondering. May being in Florida for the last several years means he hasn't been visual in the state or may not have the full/proper connections here. Any new coach would need an Indiana recruiting "expert" and massive connection to mend bridges that Woody has broken.
  19. I was curious what kind of staff he could build. Who is Graves?
  20. Correct. When he messages, he signs each one "- Eric" He also does this with posts on Peegs boards
  21. Short answer....no Long answer......noooooooo
