I can with 100% certainty that the call did happen and that Dolson did allude to Brad. Now, why would this happen? Some have their opinions.

Yaeh, during some of the IU transfer stuff, he would pop in and chat with us about what he was hearing. Especially when Spindler went to Nebraska, he came in and told us that was what he was hearing and then it happened.

A few people with inside information on the Trilly discord mainly. Then a post from IUFB on Peegs about smoke. Those few on Trilly had said Brad was a long shot while those on here have said it to be better than a long shot. Those on Trilly came on and said they were now hearing this between Brad and IU were more possible. Not saying it'll happen, but when they were firmly in the not going to happen camp and they are now in the it could happen camp, that is movement in a positive direction. None of these guys get their info from twitter but from real humans who have connections to one side or the other.

All do respect to that account, the people who were changing their tune yesterday do not rely on anonymous twitter accounts edging people online. These people are way more connected behind the scenes and get their info from there.

In my unprofessional opinion, it means Stevens OR a HC who's team is out of the tournament by that time. So, technically, if Michigan or UCLA or whoever is out early, it could get done earlier than the final 4.

you choose to believe what you want. until Brad Stevens publicly says no (or until Peegs drops him from #1 on his hot board) I will believe the Brad to IU dream is still alive. I am firmly confident in saying that IUs next HC will either be Brad Stevens or Dusty May.
