I'm with you here. Barring something outrageous or an injury, 99.9% of all coaches roll their same starters from the beginning of the game to the second half.

You bring up a great point. I don't usually like to get caught up in who starts and who doesn't. I tend to look at important times, who is on the court. And I think we have evidence to show that Coach Woodson goes with guys who have been producing and who he trusts over his first two seasons at IU. TG could play starters minutes but off the bench.

There are so many "what-ifs" or similar situations. If X plays all year, is JHS consistently creating for others or is his mentality different? How many high level games did we see with both X and JHS playing together at full health to be able to determine that? I don't think JHS is a high first rounder this year in the draft if X plays healthy all season.

I agree with this 100%. Look at who palyed the 3 all year last year, MK. MK was one dimensional at best. Ledlum brings more to the table than MK did. He's more athletic, better handles, stronger finisher, obviously not the same percentage shooter from deep but I think he can improve it from last year. He also has a high basketball IQ which will lead to solid defense. Same as MK.

Gotcha. I still don't think they land someone like Ware and expect him to come off the bench. My gut says that Malik improves his skillset, and outside shot, enough to play the 4 better than Race ever did. Then you play 5 guys with the capability and willingness to take and hit outside shots.

I just do think you can land a player like Knecht/Ware on selling them a bench spot. Unless that isn't a part of the conversation and the staff only says they will get the PT they earn.

I think we should all start to get behind the fact that Ware and Malik are starting together. Throw X in there and you have 3 of the 5 starters going into next season. Depending on other portal additions, you could say X, Knecht, Ledlum, Malik, Ware or if we do not land Knecht just swap Trey for him and their is your projected lineup.

Conflicting reports about Ledlum. Some say he visits Tennessee this weekend, some (@Chris007) think he may commit before then (as soon as today). Rabby wouldn't say for certain other than his patented "as of 9:00 am today, he is planning on taking his Tennessee visit"

According to others. Ware has committed to IU. Staff will use that to sell to Ledlum today to get him to commit. Then, staff will take all of that to Knecht to sell to him and get him to IU

Rabby all but confirmed Ware to IU then threw water on the entire board with carefully worded comments like “As of Thursday night, Ware has another visit scheduled” Then later he said “He currently has another visit scheduled, we will see if that’s still going to be the case“ My opinion, Ware committed to IU. He needs to communicate with whoever this other visit is with to let them know. Rabby wanted to slow everyone but used his wording carefully and wants Ware and family to have the attention. Also said Ledlum didn’t get to IU until later yesterday evening, the bulk of his visit will be today.

As a fellow IU fan, I understand your hesitation. However, the smoke around this is no where near what was being said around Battle. Someone has committed to IU (Ledlum or Ware or both). Too much smoke.
