Much more subdued crowd in Champaign tonight; a lot of empty seats. I guess playing Purdue just isn't as much of a draw. I wonder if the dudes calling this game will scream like little girls every time the Illini make a run tonight.

I remember thinking that game was the loudest IU game, start to finish, I'd ever heard on TV. It was insane. It won't be anywhere near that loud for a long time, unfortunately.

The Pacers are #1 in the NBA in points allowed per game. That really puts into perspective how much this team misses PG and as already mentioned, how absolutely wretched the offense is.

Oregon's receiving corp is decimated. I don't see how they score enough to win.

Why does Purdue wear gray uniforms? Gray isn't even one of their colors.

I doubt it. They'll get up for the better teams and beat them. I still don't see anyone outlasting them. It's just too hard.

I have little doubt that MSU will be ranked and a solid tourney team by March. I wish I could say the same for us, but we know how that movie usually ends.

I agree. It blows my mind that they're able to get an out of state player like him but we can't for some reason.

Illinois appears to be having the classic "play the game of our lives after our best player goes down" game that many teams at various levels of various sports tend to have. Sometimes that only lasts one game, other times it can last a few games. Hopefully it's worn off and they're back to sucking by the time we play them.

Yep, OSU is definitely winning this game. Their offense is unreal.

What a lucky catch. OSU should be getting throttled, yet they'll only be down 1 at the half. They just feel like a team of destiny this year.
