I doubt it. They'll get up for the better teams and beat them. I still don't see anyone outlasting them. It's just too hard.

I have little doubt that MSU will be ranked and a solid tourney team by March. I wish I could say the same for us, but we know how that movie usually ends.

Illinois appears to be having the classic "play the game of our lives after our best player goes down" game that many teams at various levels of various sports tend to have. Sometimes that only lasts one game, other times it can last a few games. Hopefully it's worn off and they're back to sucking by the time we play them.

Remember when Purdue was once thought of as a strong defensive team? Notre Dame has 37 points with four minutes until halftime and is already in the double bonus.

They either need to make it a two-day event (first and third place games the second day) or expand it to 8 schools. We gain very little from playing in this. It's only news if we lose to Butler and nobody cares about playing Notre Dame.
