  1. Sorry, but this is getting ridiculous. The people who have died have all been elderly with underlying health issues. COVID-19 is less contagious than the flu. Better safe than sorry, but this is a lot of hype... ...for the record, if I die from it, all of you can cite this post as an example of someone who didn't take it seriously enough.
  2. That's all we can do haha. Since I haven't picked up a basketball in years, I can only sit and listen to Don Fischer and hope that we don't get embarrassed on our home floor. Such is the life of a basketball fan.
  3. He knew exactly what he was doing. He (like so many other high level recruits) had a whole host of people telling him what to do (I'm from New Albany and saw a menagerie of parents, pastors, community leaders, etc). I'm sure "don't get injured and mess up your draft prospects" was hammered into him. If there was no one-and-done, he wouldn't have gone to college at all. We'll never know for sure, but I'm with you, Lander is a completely different type of player.
  4. Bad bad bad bad feeling about this one. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to be so wrong.
  5. I’m with you on that one. Feels like it’s all gonna go horribly wrong and we’ve got some bad losses coming up. Hope we’re way off!
  6. Watch them inexplicably go to the Elite Eight this year while we decline the NIT. Sorry, I know this isn’t the negativity thread.
  7. Oh I’m fully prepared. My philosophy since we lost in the Sweet Sixteen to UNCheat has been to just kinda pop in every couple seasons to test the waters and see what the NCAA (and IU of course) are doing to dig themselves out of their respective holes. I’ve given a lot of energy to this team and sport in the past and for awhile now that’s been the only way I can keep my sanity.
  8. If Purdue gets in the tourney with 15 or 16 losses, I’m officially done with CBB until they lose the NET.
  9. Go Rutger! Make Urkel cry!
  10. Nahhhhh. They know they’re done at this point. Then again I have been known to be wrong before.
  11. Thank god Wisky held on. Minny’s gonna be coming into the Hall dejected.
  12. Makes me not want to watch another game this season. What a complete and total joke. I almost NEVER complain about officiating, but that was stolen, pure and simple.
  13. If you are terrible at numbers, it’s the best thing ever and actually helps with life skills. I believe for art/music students it’s the most basic thing you could possibly take that’s required.
  14. Guess what I took at IU? It was just called “Practical Math” or something. It taught us interest rates and stuff you need to know for life, which in a perfect world, if you’re not going to be an engineer or mathematician, should be the only math you’re required to take. I was an art student. Spent a lot of time with the weirdos in Collins. Needless to say math isn’t my strong suit and I’m actually a tad dyslexic with numbers.
  15. I think my optimism is a defense mechanism, but IU is still in an okay spot. Even with a loss to Illinois, we win at home we’re in. Maybe another win in the B1G to sweeten it. Breathe. Mark these words, we are getting 20 wins.
  16. Love how Twitter people are overreacting to this loss...a game they basically had no chance of winning to a team likely not going to the tournament. You people up north probably hate Purdue, but I honestly don’t cross many paths with PU fans down here. I have always been kind of indifferent to that rivalry. At the end of the day, it is Indiana after all. The UofL and pUKe fans I have to deal with on a daily basis, however....
  17. Easily the doofiest looking Purdue squad of all time. I can't knock a guy with a receding hairline (I have one and it's pretty bad) but come on, Boudreaux? At least I actually am in my 30's
  18. Haarms looks like my first roommate in college. He was a goofy kid well over 6 foot and weighed no more than a buck-o-five. One night when we were drunk he came at me really mad about something and I literally flipped him over my shoulder. I have no idea how I did it but it was awesome.
  19. I guess I didn’t know that for some reason. Weird.
  20. The last time I watched the tournament game they lost to Syracuse, I noticed in addition to being unable to get it inside to Zeller and break the zone, Hulls fizzled almost completely in the stretch. They were most definitely worn out. I think in those last few games Jordy was shooting well below his average.
  21. This one is either a close win or a blowout loss. For some reason due to faulty analytics, Purdue still thinks they can go to the tournament. They’ll be playing for their lives. All depends on how IU responds.
  22. I remember a lot of talk from Memphis fans about how great they were gonna be and how they got Quinones and we didn’t. Oh well, the AAC is a powerhouse I guess.
  23. Tied with the most points ever allowed AND to a team who won’t make the NIT??? We are all Deacons tonight.
  24. Oh Michigan and UofL fans are already really salty!
  25. One of the best point guards in the country. #1 in Indiana.
