After their second noncon loss at home, (which has never happened under his tenure) Coach K is now calling for a pause to the season. “It doesn’t feel right,” he said. Others are also calling to pause it now as more programs halt games indefinitely (NC State). We may not see a full season or a tournament next year. Also, the whole “it doesn’t count anyway” crowd is going to always have their theories. Over/under they decide to pause the season soon?

Remember the amazing camera angle they used to have on IU games in the 80’s and 90’s? The one where it was so low to the floor it felt like you had really close seats? Well, since there are no (or very limited) fans allowed this season, I say bring back that camera setup. I’m not saying to use it all the time because I do like the high view of the floor, but after watching the Purdouche game in the tiny gym, the Hoosiers felt like ants. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if anyone knows the broadcast people, I think it would be fan-freaking-tastic. That’s all!

I live right behind the DuPont Manual stadium here in Louisville...like, my back yard backs into the bleachers across the alley. It’s a huge stadium and they’re a big football school, almost always making it to the Kentucky state playoffs. They're making a decision Thursday to see if Jefferson County Public will play sports. Since I moved in right after lockdown, I have yet to experience a “Friday night lights” game. I’m honestly not going to be upset if they cancel because according to my neighbors it gets LOUD.

UNC just ceased all classes. This ain’t over guys, not by a long shot.

Thank you for this, because honestly I am feeling exactly the same, whether they end up playing or not. Part of the season for me is every year in late November we go up to Bloomington for my birthday, go to Nick’s, walk campus, and see a game. It’s never going to be the same, and I’m not excited about it at all.

Guys. Maybe, just maybe, this means Rutgers, Maryland, Nebraska, and Penn State finally leave the B1G. they won’t, but a guy can dream.

Philadelphia Eagles HC tests positive. That’s...not good.

I’d bank money on there being no national tournament again. If they do have conference-only games, I think that’s all we get.

Same with the Derby here in Louisville. There is a ton of backlash about letting fans attend, but far too much money flows into this town for them to not have it. Not to mention Louisville’s downtown is just decimated these days with businesses boarded up and people too afraid to even get down there. We need all the revenue we can get here. But all this is another discussion.

Every day that goes by and cases get worse and they continue to wait on making these decisions is only delaying the inevitable. Call me a pessimist, but since nothing has been proven to me otherwise, we aren’t getting football and likely not basketball either. I will be SHOCKED if we do.

I sincerely hope they do. I love having more reasons to hate that school.

Some UK students/faculty have sent a letter to the university president, wanting them to rename Rupp Arena. Can’t say I blame them. Adolph Rupp was a giant racist who refused any black starters until 1968.

Spoiler alert: it’s not going to get better. We had our chance and blew it. I think the football season shrinking is the writing on the wall.

Reminds me of a Kentucky meme that I cannot find for the life of me, but the top picture is one black kid with a bunch of rednecks smiling and it says “Kentucky fans during basketball season,” while the bottom picture says “Kentucky fans the rest of the year” and it’s just the Klan. And you know, it’s not like UK basketball has a history of segregation or anything...

Todd Lindeman Kirk Haston Pat Graham Jamal Meeks ...and... Sherron Wilkerson. I know, I know, but I watched him play his junior and senior years at Jeffersonville and really liked him. My aunt was the secretary of the high school and my dad talked to him a lot and had high hopes for him. Then we all know what happened. Sad thing is, his sophomore year was showing a lot of promise for him as a starter and he was a good contributor, but of course it all went down. So maybe not “underrated” as much as “disappointed.”
