(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
ElectricBoogaloo replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Unless you've been checking the board every day you wouldn't ever know he said that. So a less active user logs in and sees Hoosier Guy answer definitively that we get Romeo and Darius and, predictably, gets confused. You guys can change the titles under people's names, right? Might need to change Hoosier Guy to Team Cheerleader or Eternal Optimist or something. -
Did you guys see this story about Wilton Speight's medical treatment at Purdue after his injury? http://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/2017/10/26/wilton-speight-injury-handled-poorly-purdue-father-says/107045682/ https://deadspin.com/wilton-speights-parents-medical-treatment-at-purdue-af-1819898672

I do think it's confusing and a problem for posters who aren't as active on the board. They see a guy giving definitive answers without mentioning that it's just his opinion or that he's hoping for the best. It rubs me the wrong way too but everyone else seems OK with it so I've kept quiet. -
Heresy!

Wayne has complimented your poster. By the customs of our lands you must either give it to him or curse his house with evil spirits. Hail Hoosier!

(2018) PG Darius Garland to Vandy

That stuff isn't bad and a lot of recruits seem to enjoy it along with the happy birthday messages Romeo was getting. But when people start tweeting them about internet rumors it gets a little creepy. -

Are people actively trying to scare off a recruit? Stop tweeting at these kids... -
Or he's due for a scholarship on the eSports team.

Any chance it could be seen as a slight that they sent Alford's dad and not a member of the coaching staff? "Sure, we have a large recruiting budget, but I'll just send Dad." Didn't they invest heavily in travel back and forth for Wilkes last year? -
2017-18 Season Expectations
ElectricBoogaloo replied to Dalton26's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I'm not agreeing with the bottom barrel predictions but I don't think we'll be top 5 or anything. I think all those programs in bold above are ones we can surpass this year with the exception of Wisconsin. I know Wiscy lost a lot so we'll see. To me, Wisconsin bball is like life in Jurassic Park - it finds a way. -

I don't really blame "the media" for the ranking. They look at a team that was terrible last year and lost 3 starters to NBA early entry. On the surface it's easy to see those points and write a team off. The Hoosiers have a lot to prove this year. -
Should be vacating all wins during the time UNC had athletes taking fraudulent classes. But that would be what, 15 years? They won't do it. NCAA is too weak to do anything but slaps on the wrist.

If I remember correctly, he stayed at the same small HS in NJ instead of going to prep school and also stayed with the same AAU team that didn't play in the powerhouse divisions. So he was overlooked because he wasn't competing against the big boys. -

Gotta be Alford if it's coming from the Lobos insiders... -

Dakich doesn't know anything about who's telling what to the FBI but it is a solid guess. Hope he presented it as a guess and not fact. -

The problem with Duke is that they are a private university, correct? The FBI is going after employees of public universities for public corruption. Duke may be cheating their ***** off and the FBI may not care. -

Just that people confirmed from Twitter history that both Fair and Kenny were in Vegas at the time of the recorded conversation. It makes more sense that coach 2 is Pitino though. Since he is apparently the "big swinging ***" and can call on Adidas for anything. I never got the impression Kenny had THAT amount of sway, either at IU or after. -

What? It was in response to a reporter's question. It would be much more worrying if the said nothing. -
Given that we are pursuing Garland and Romeo, I wouldn't touch Louisville decommits with a 10 ft pole.
