  1. How does PSU go 19 minutes in the second half with only one team foul? That is very poor on our part.
  2. Agreed, but I was only referring to the offensive side of the ball...and not necessarily under a Knight coached team.
  3. Could you imagine Blackmon in a Knight-like offensive scheme? Top 10 all-time IU scorer, imo.
  4. For the right opportunity, he might be persuaded to leave. To me, he seemed to love the teaching aspect of the game...not sure how much of that he can really do in the NBA.
  5. Billy D...would love to see Billy ball in B-town.
  6. The game last night (really the entire season) is really an indictment on Crean's recruiting style and approach to getting the kids to graduate in three years...or maybe it is just the world that we live in now...not really sure. However, the team seriously lacks leadership...in the form of senior leadership. If Yogi (or someone like him) was on the team, I think that we would be having an entirely different conversation.
  7. So, does Kansas and UNC get punished for a "bad" loss? How does a team that beats those giants start 1-4 in Big Ten play?
  8. Plus it makes watching the tournament so much more enjoyable, as you know that your team has no chance of getting bounced.
  9. Don't be so sure. Crean will find a way to lose.
  10. This is a sub - .500 Big Ten team.
  11. Oh...how shocking Trimble driving to the bucket.
  12. Do they not know that Trimble is always driving to the bucket?
  13. He should be the PG of the present.
  14. Regardless...you have to hold a team to 40% or less to have a chance to win.
  15. We will not beat anyone when our D allows 46% FG shooting.
  16. A word to the wise...if you havent't started drinking yet, crack one open and get it flowing...makes watching the Hoosiers much more enjoyable...and I don't get as angry.
  17. Wish we had a PG as good as Brunson.
  18. However, 12 TOs is still to many.
  19. The first half had to be one of the best that they have played all season. Look what happens when you take care of the ball.
  20. Ha! Good point...totally blew that one. Point being that even when the program was blown to bits by...well...you know who...I would still get jacked up for those games and schedule my weekend around the games, but now as the program is back on its feet, I expected the coach to be able to evolve and adapt better to the players and opponents. However, Crean's lack of adaptability and his "my system is better than yours and I am going to try to shove it down your throat even if it means losing" mentality is tiring and at the end of the is going to be a losing proposition more times than not against average to good coaches. Clearly we should have gotten Crean some books by or on some of the great business and military leaders for Christmas...but if he didn't learn anything from Izzo then better not to have wasted the cash.
  21. And we play about as well at UI as we do in Indy, so no, not very optimistic about the game tomorrow.
  22. To be honest the IP-FW loss really did it for me, as I knew at that point this team is not competing for anything and Crean has not learned anything from the past seasons. I am as huge of a fan as anyone, but I have become very apathetic toward watching a coach try the same thing over and over again and continuing to get the same results. TBH I have not watched a full game since the UNC game and the last game that I watched live was the Butler game, but I knew by halftime that the show on the floor was not going to change and turned it off and spent my time doing something else instead of being PO'ed all night. I have DVR'ed the last 4 games, but deleted them all once I learned the result without watching them. I think the talent is there, we just need someone who knows how to properly use it.
  23. At the point that CTC learns that not turning the ball over is more valuable than a deflection or that playing solid defense consistently wins championships more consistently than the crap defense that he keeps putting out on the floor...that is when he will learn that position-less basketball doesn't work...
  24. For some reason this team reminds me of the 2011-12 team. My prediction is that they will finish 4th in the BT and make the Sweet 16. Our PG and our defense are the downfall.
  25. I think that this is a problem that no one is talking about...every year after the season is over, there are always rumors of college coaches going to the NBA, but Crean's name is never mentioned. Frankly, this is how you know have a good coach or not, IMO.
