Call me crazy, but the only two complete long shots I see on there are OSU/Michigan. Washington minus DeBoer and with all the talent leaving isn’t as scary as it once looked. @UCLA and @MSU won’t be easy but also not what you’d call unwinnable games

Good for him, don’t see him being much more than a gadget situational player, but wish him well.

I definitely still feel like our front 7 is a weak point… we got bullied up front in a few games last year, especially by Rutgers, not a lot of reason to believe that will fundamentally change… Carpenter was a very good Sun Belt D Lineman but he’s small. but this is the most talented offense we’ve had since that Covid year. I honestly think a Smith/Kidwell/Katic/Stephens/Wedig offensive line has the potential to be pretty solid, assuming that’s what we roll with.

Look, I wouldn’t expect all of the JMU guys to start, but I do think there’s a few who have a chance (Kidwell, Kamara, Fisher, Walker, Carpenter in particular), but we also need depth and, maybe more importantly, Cig wants to institute his culture at IU. Even if a lot of them are nothing more than depth/rotational pieces, they know Cig and they know the system so it’s good to have those guys around.
