  1. I love that CMW — or more likely, whoever manages his socials — called MM “son” here
  2. As with the Dickinson transfer, we can all agree that this is funny at UM’s expense
  3. Mizzou was my first thought too, though don’t they have about 12 guys 6’4” and under already, all of whom want 18 shots a game?
  4. This has been speculated for awhile, yeah. Jace finishes I think, NBA has long had interest…
  5. A couple points here: some turnover is part of the college game now. It’s fine. As Stuhoo said, IU didn’t lose anyone that really kneecapped them. See the first tweet here, to lose NO ONE would be a top 1% outcome. I feel a little bad for the players who’ve previously transferred who are having a tough time getting a landing spot…but they probably should’ve known this was a possibility, and it’s a strong signal for the future that you can’t just jump around every offseason.
  6. Fwiw Cass Tech is pretty traditionally strong in football.
  7. Just want to say for posterity that this was an all-timer of a thread from the first post on.
  8. Yeah I think they’re aiming for a starter-caliber 2, but even a depth guy like Purdue had with David Jenkins last offseason would be beneficial
  9. I’m hooting and hollering, thinking about Mackenzie in the strong side corner while X comes around double drag screens from Ware and Reneau
  10. They’re both playing up, right? Does Sisley bring anything on defense? The proof is in the pudding as a scorer and rebounder.
  11. Great credit to those in the know to honor his desire to keep it tight-lipped
  12. Shooting tends to translate up a level, I think he’s viable if the staff thinks he can guard. Might like his skill set PLUS more dribble creation but the portal isn’t create-a-player.
  13. Hubert Davis has been almost comically loathe to trust his bench despite stocking it with the usual UNC collection of top 100 dudes. Quite possible Dunn and Puff Johnson etc. are very good but what they’ve shown isn’t enough for anyone to know.
  14. Same lineup with Trey instead of Walker obviously sacrifices height and length but will actually play. And it’s going to just python-squeeze opposing offenses to death.
  15. This is true, I guess a better way to frame Ware and especially Mgbako is that they’re the proof of JHS’s impact.
  16. Plus I think MSU’s done and IU probably has one more to add
  17. Yeah, great point. Much easier to find up-transfer guards that can contribute than big, skilled wings.
  18. Yes true, good catch! Bates (Shaka/Texas), Reneau (Mike White/Florida), and Mgbako (Duke/Filipowski stays) were all sort of late, one month-ish things, I’m pretty sure JHS had committed early in HS and decommitted, with a bit more lag time. So it fits, I wasn’t thinking of him since it’s a different sort of thing.
  19. Good thread for my DUDES UPDATE: certified, starting-caliber dudes: X, Trey, Mgbako, Reneau, Ware backup caliber dudes: Sparks, Walker Some of the other rostered players may be dudes next year, and we have one more spot. Looking good.
  20. Spring decommit-from-elsewhere sprint recruitments in Woody’s 3 years: Bates in ‘21 Reneau in ‘22 Mgbako this year.
  21. Todays a great day for Reneau — Ware and Mgbako bring floor spacing, Trey and X some dribble drive action…Malik’s gonna have lots of space.
  22. When I watched this, I had a strong feeling that IU was a better personality and family fit. Great find, Teeter.
  23. Lawrence, per Trilly, is likely Auburn but he wasn’t sure why the delay.
  24. In general it probably pays to be one of the last 5 stars off the board due to scarcity
