Well like most at first I was really hesitant about this hire, however, this week has really turned my feelings around! The comments from TJD really helped that, especially the comments about not saying what he did well but what he didn’t! I’m not saying we are going to blow the doors off of everyone next year, but I have a feeling that the other B1G schools that have circled our games on the calendar in the past few years are in for a big surprise! Uptempo offense, defensive minded, and well coached sounds like a real good theme for the future! A combination that has been missing for many, many years!

OS is actually really reasonable tuition wise. I got my bachelor's there through their online courses at the instate tuition rate. It was actually cheaper than what it cost me to attend classes at IU Southeast.

So I have heard it in a few places now, but does anyone have the scoop on the potential that Archie didn't even want the job at IU when he was hired?

I have refrained from posting, as I have been tossing the hire around in my head to see how I feel. That alone should definitely confirm that it is not a home run hire, however, the more I think about it the more I feel ok about it. The B1G conference has a problem, tackle basketball, case in point, Michigan is the only team left in the Tourney from the BEST conference in the country. Things need to change! Michigan hires Howard, he steers the program away from tackle basketball and they all but dominate the conference this year and are now in the Elite 8. So maybe Woody will work as well. Speed up/free up the offense, and play lock down defense, I could see the Hoosiers turning things around pretty quick. I am also saving my final judgements for when the assistant positions are filled.

Well so much for a nice relaxing day before I head back to work tomorrow!!!! Dammit!
