  1. LMAO!!!!!!! Bravo!
  2. He came to Indiana from the land of Michigan Proclaiming from his heart that he could help us win again But based upon hindsight We should have stayed with Bob Knight Cause Tommy’s coachings’ making us look screwed again
  3. The easiest and most simple way to define the two is this: Bob Knight is a Champion. Tom Crean isn't.
  4. Finally got home and had a chance to read Doyel's column. First, I have a healthy skepticism for people who tell me they're the most transparent, honest, etc., etc. because almost without exception, that's bullsh!t. Having said that, and if for only the entertainment value of it, his column said enough "right" things about the situation to give it a thumbs up. I still think he plays both sides of the middle, but give him credit when at last he finally notices, like so many others did years ago, that the emperor has no clothes.
  5. Confusion thy name be Fred Glass A home game to play he did pass Like turds he did muster An embarrassing cluster And we all end up smelling like @$$
  6. There once was a coach named Tom Crean Who clapped with a passion obscene The sum of his knowledge was not meant for college And now we'd all clap if he'd leave. Just doing my bit for 1,000 posts
  7. Let's see: Heart, Determination, Grit, Smarts, Focus, Perseverance, Defense, Yeah, pretty much everything we no longer have at IU under Crean. Makes me sick to my stomach to be reminded how far we've fallen since then; and that team wasn't, by comparison, nearly as talented as anything Crean has put together. They were still Bobby's boys and they knew how to fight to the end.
  8. I think Tom Crean would be an awesome coach..... At Terre Haute South Vigo HS. Go Braves!
  9. Whatever cash he may or may not derive from the fans during one of his trips to the state, is a drop in the veritable ocean of monies that he's generated for the University, the people of Indiana and countless other individual cases. Additionally, he hasn't held a gun to anyone's head to force their attendance at one of his talks or book signings.
  10. I don't blame coach Knight; one. little. bit. He clearly still appreciates the fans in Indiana for their support and devotion all those years, but the IU Admin burnt the bridge 17 years ago and they're the only one's who would have anything to gain by his returning for a cameo appearance.
  11. The sad thing is, tonight's game showed this team for the schizophrenic hot mess they are, and have been, under Crean's leadership. Perhaps Fred Glass, (and no small number of IU fans) get caught up in seeing threes fall left and right, but threes are a lot like wallpaper; they cover a multitude of errors, and this program, for too many years, has gotten by with wallpaper. Personally, I couldn't care less if they ran the table in the Big Ten Tournament. Conference tournaments are a sham anyway. This is a deeply flawed team, being led by a man whose basketball philosophy and teachings are equally flawed. It has no place being in Bloomington.
  12. I'll change my profile picture to fat-***ed Painter.
  13. I saw this one coming from a mile away. Anyone want to bet we beat the drunken sconnies tomorrow?
  14. Best post of the year!!!!!! LMAO!!
  15. Actually, I knew a Polish man whose Doctor informed him he had sugar in his urine, so he went home and pissed on his corn flakes. But I digress.
  16. Wait….Tom Crean is related to Gilbert Gottfried?! J
  17. I'd take an incandescent Bobby Knight over an incompetent Tom Crean. Any. Day. Of. The. Week.
  18. I'm not referring to his personal traits, but to his approach to the game. He and his teams were very disciplined in their system, play and mental approach to the game of basketball.
  19. Greatest coach ever at IU. He's everything Tom Crean isn't and everything our program needs in a newer model. A great, disciplined leader, coach, teacher, and strategist. Someone who brings in young men of character and integrity with steely determination, focus, intelligence and grit. An evening listening to Bob Knight's take on any subject is a night well spent.
  20. I think the confluence of negative factors surrounding our IU Hoosiers, (lousy season, lousy coach and success in West Lafayette) has had a detrimental affect on my intestinal tract. Each time I read or hear about Tom Crean, my gut wrenches and I'm forced to flee to the nearest porcelin facilities for emergency evacuation. I seriously think I've developed Pavlovian bowels. I hope Fred Glass takes this in to account when contemplating Crea.....Crea....Creannnn's dismissal. Oooh, I gotta go now.
  21. I won't feel confident about anything until I hear an ESPN breaking news report, "Clappy out at IU".
  22. I think Tom Crean should be retained as coach, if only for his entertainment value and comic ability. Indeed, (and I mean this with all my heart), if the whole world were a circus, Tom Crean would be its #1 Clown. That’s hard to replace.
