Vogel mentioned he thought the NBA had figured out Hibbert.

Pacers end of year presser today. Interesting comments, Bird and Vogel looking to run more up tempo, small ball going forward. Hibbert at best would have a diminished role, may not even start

I don't understand why Turner is so high with ESPN and Draftexpress (who I usually trust way more than anyone else with this stuff). He just doesn't seem smooth on the court. Doesn't have much of an offensive game. He'd be an upgrade athletically....... but just about.anyone drafted would be an upgrade athletically in the front court. I'd take Russel 2 as well. But I would also seriously consider him at 1 if we were there. Even with KAT

Also in kind of an ugly position in the draft. Too low to get a big guy we'd probably want, WCS or Porzingis. Would probably be too much of a stretch to take Portis, Looney, or Lyles. I hope we take Dunn, but not getting my hopes too high. And the two guys I want to stay way away from, Kaminsky and Turner, are being mocked in this range

So a number of people are reporting Hibbert and West are both expected to opt in for their finals year. Not too surprised. No one is going to offer West anywhere near 12.6 next year and with the cap set to explode next off-season it would make more sense for Hibbert to test the market then when GM's have way too much money to spend

Kris Dunn is the other guy I really like. Lots of upside, while he already produces. Pretty good comeback story with his shoulder surgeries

I actually really like Looney. He is really raw offensively...... which sucks because we already lack offensive play makers. But he gets rebounds, which is still an issue, and already fits our mold defensively

I looked it up after posting. Maybe it was because he was always out there with KAT and WCS. But he looked shorter than 6'10. I know Draftexpress has him at 19 right now.

Probably. West isn't going to get anywhere close to 12.6 next year. Probably same with Hibbert, though I hope he doesn't opt out and we give him a second max. That would be beyond dumb

As long as it isn't Myles Turner. Probably more likely we look for West's eventual replacement anyways

I'd add in that some of my stance is when PG went down I didn't want to make the playoffs. Perfect time and draft to be bad and get a good young player. Just to add on to what you're talking about, I think some think the roster is good, when really outside of PG, GH,and maybe Solo going forward the roster isn't actually good. Then you add in the people who keep saying the draft is a crapshoot (it isn't) and that drafting in the lottery doesn't guarantee anything. I don't get the logic of wanting the 15th pick and getting our asses handed to us as compared to getting the 9th pick. You're going to get a much better pick at 9 than 15, about 90% of the time

The paranoia from the Pacers fan base about everyone being out to get the Pacers is palpable. Some much whining about teams resting guys against other teams then not resting against the Pacers. So freaking whiny

Well James Harden is playing. Refs were given a different rules hand book for him apparently I like his game, but dude gets the benefit on a ton of calls going his way

Also worth mentions Pero Antic and Thabo Sefolosha of the Hawks were arrested and released on charges of obstructing setting up the crime scene. Sef actually rushed a cop according to the report

I don't care for them either. Also, not that big a fan of the term Creaning. I could see Z paying his own way, but we've suggested this about players in the past and it hasn't happened

Neither does UK. If anything they have a lot more reason to expect roster turnover than us. Saying we don't know what the roster will look like doesn't make sense. So UL should be concerned too right, with all the turnover on their roster. So based on that logic they should be freaking out over recruiting

So Lance has fallen completely out of Charlotte's rotation.

He'll probably experience a bit of a down tick in his offense. But unless they somehow get Russel I'd kind of anticipate him still putting up numbers. Last year his percentage for just having the ball,not usage, while taking out brining the ball up was incredibly low

If we take anything from this season it is that the Flo-Jos are a million times better than the banana suits........ Oh and George Hill doesn't suck
