Was thinking today, how many teams do we think the big ten gets in to NCAA’s? My final standings look like: OSU, Michigan, Mich State, Maryland, Purdue, Indiana, Illinois, Penn State, Iowa, Wisco, with a slew of bottom feeders. Just got a big win at MSG over UConn! Personally glad no one is questioning whether or not Archie is the right fit at the moment as that discussion is for a later date IMO. Hopefully we can jump out to a similar start as Creighton did vs Nebraska and hopefully that’s all that’s on anyone’s mind over the next few days in regard to IUBB. Love this win and love this team! Devonte obviously can’t produce that type of game every night but I seriously think he’s improved in every facet and has bought in for his senior year. TJD is a monster and Smith is another excellent piece. The defense looked terrific last night and Franklin/Durham’s poise when facing the press was impressive. However, the one thing I’m worried about, and I could very well be wrong and hope to hear your guys’ opinions is that we might be a bit too reliant on the charity stripe. We haven’t played a game away from home yet and I’m afraid we can’t expect to get to the line and maintain this free throw rate on the road. Once again, don’t mean to be a debbie downer at all, the team will be a serious contender for Big Ten title but I’m just interested in the board’s thoughts. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Indiana will likely be a team that struggles to score the ball offensively at times this season. For me and the rest of the crowd that favors Devonte in the starting lineup, he provides solid defense while also adding a spark on the offensive end that no one really else provides. He’s arguably our best shooter, a great passer (at times), and adds an energetic juice to the offense that will be much needed. That’s the argument for throwing him in the starting 5.
