Last night's game was a huge barometer for me. I will post my negative here and not ruin the hype in the post game thread. We had much better effort last night and shot the ball pretty good from 3. Rutgers was missing a good player and had a insane game from their other star. That's the positive. The bad is rutgers wasn't good other than 1 player. They couldn't rebound and I fear iu won't bring that energy or shooting to often moving forward. Ballo showing effort and doing well is a good sign. The bad is he was suspended for being a idiot and our other big went down with a injury. I worry ballo won't bring that effort to much more but hopefully I am wrong. I think brad Steven's is more likely than Dusty! Dusty probably has a low buyout because michigan isn't stupid and knew he was a small gamble. Given he is having success in imagine if that continues a new contract will be done by end of February early March with a much higher buyout and compensation. Iu had a chance and that was last season! Michigan basketball is a elite program and if you succeed there you will be taken care of imo. No way he throws that away to come into this mess. I seen some posts in the fire mike woodson thread and couldn't bring myself to post this and argue or start a debate in that great thread. However woodson definitely did a decent job with tjd and ware imo. So saying tjd saved woodson may be true woodson needs some credit I think especially with ware. Jhs also did well under woodson for the most part. Woodson has had a few bright spots early on with special talents. We will have to play much better than we have imo. We can definitely win 1 or both but the eye test says otherwise. I will say woody has surprised me a couple times when I thought the team was done. It's a bit beyond plausible. This has been a hotly debated topic on here with some getting angry at the mere notion of it being connected. Is cliff the same trainer who was getting all jacked up with the team during games on the sideline or was that the previous trainer? Perhaps it's normal. I think most kids are smart enough to know that if you are out after midnight at a bar the night before a game that is pressure you don't need. If you have a bad game then that will be the blame. I doubt to many successful programs players are out doing that. If you are a star player and out like that night before a game you better be sure to play great imo or **** will be said on social media. I have no problem with kids having fun and drinking but not night before.
