Bates lacks confidence and the killer instinct that’s needed to be consistent and reliable. Some guys have that dog in them, then lose it. Rarely do they lose it and gain it back. I really like TB and don’t want to trash him. He seems like a great young man. I just wouldn’t bet on him getting it together and meeting the expectations he came in here with. Hopefully I’m wrong and he develops on a similar trajectory that he did in HS.

Kohler is a stud. Gonna give us fits for awhile.

A dub would be huge here.

I think Gunn should get some (not all or most) of Bates minutes. We desperately need a guy that can knock down open shots. Kopp and Bates are incredibly inconsistent on a game to game basis. Bates is one of the most Jekyll and Hyde players I can remember. Gunn has the upside and more importantly, imho, the right “killer” mentality. Should be getting the young guys experience in these games, so that they aren’t a deer in headlights by the time they are thrust into the larger roles. Jay Wright said this when he was on the broadcast for our game.

The officiating in this league is so goddamn bad.

I was not emotionally prepared for us to be dubbed up twice by Northwestern this season.

When did Northwestern become Duke to the officials. The last 10-12 mins of the Purdue game they hacked the hell out of them and now they’re getting away with the same **** here.

We have got to be the worst 2nd half team in the country. So bad. You know what’s coming every time.

Race getting too much burn imho. I get Woody likes his seniors but we look far better with him on the bench.

He’s a starter. Calling it now…By the time it’s all said and done, he will go down as one of our favorite Hoosiers of all time. He will lead us to a Final Four or better.

That was a foul on Edey on the Trayce attempted shot too. Unbelievable what this guy gets away with.

Here’s where I have learned to turn the game off, so my rage doesn’t keep me up all night. Wasn’t expecting a W tonight though. Hopefully we can get Purdue, and finish respectably tonight!

I don’t know how we haven’t seen more zone from opposing teams. We really struggle with it.
