Happy valley at night. Only one team going to be happy and I don't think it's going to be us. The schedule this year is brutal

This is my issue as well. Penix has been really bad and Saturday he made some terrible decisions with the football. However, I watched Tuttle last year and the offense did not look any better with him on the field. Now you can't keep throwing Penix out there no matter what, but I am not confident Tuttle will be any better. Oh well. I am sure no matter who is out there we will continue to run it up the gut on 1st and 10 95% of the time and then throw it on 2nd and 9.

This will be the first game since 1979 that Purdue hasn't had the drum. Kinda funny that Notre Dame won't let them use the main tunnel, maybe petty, but still funny.

Early Big Ten Projections (2021-2022)
IUc2016 replied to IUc2016's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
https://www.insidethehall.com/2021/09/17/big-tens-top-25-players-for-2021-22-5-1/ 5. Jaden Ivey (Purdue) 4. TJD (IU) 3. EJ Liddell (OSU) 2. Hunter Dickinson (Michigan) 1. Kofi Cockburn (Illinois) TJD was 3rd last year on the list and averaged 19 points and 9 rebounds for the year. He drops to 4th this year. Whatever. Hopefully this is the year IU gains back the respect it usually gets. -
they take that dumb drum everywhere unfortunately. Seen it too many times at Memorial Stadium

Early Big Ten Projections (2021-2022)
IUc2016 replied to IUc2016's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
So, I am not as high on X Johnson as some one here and I have made that known. But in no way did I not see him as a top 25 big ten player (Sorry for the double negative). I mean come on. Freaking John Harrar and Pete Nance? give me a break. XJ is 2-0 against Pete Nance in his career with a total of 32 points 13 rebounds and 12 assists. Pete Nance on the other hand scored a total of 10 points with 12 rebounds and 3 assists in those two games. I know this is just two guys putting together a list and doesn't mean much but still funny/irritating. -

https://www.insidethehall.com/2021/09/16/big-tens-top-25-players-for-2021-22-10-6/ 10. Eric Ayala (Maryland) 9. Caleb Houstan (Michigan) 8. Ron Harper Jr. (Rutgers) 7. Trevion Williams (Purdue) 6. Andre Curbelo (Illinois) Hard to argue with these 5 imo. Maybe the order of them can be discussed, but I believe all are worthy of top 10 consideration. TJD will certainly be in the top 5 and IU's only player. I bet he ends up 4. -

Anyone know why Clowney is so much lower on 247? -

https://www.insidethehall.com/2021/09/15/big-tens-top-25-players-for-2021-22-15-11/ 15. Pete Nance (Northwestern) 14. Trent Frazier (Illinois) 13. Zach Edey (Purdue) 12. Geo Baker (Rutgers) 11. Donta Scott (Maryland) Nance is the surprise here, he has really underwhelmed every time I have watched him. But he did come on a little last year and certainly has the potential. But it is clear the talent level is really down this year after looking at the list so far. I do think some of the transfers will prove to be top 25 worthy over some of the returning options. -
SIAP but I thought this was funny.

Early Big Ten Projections (2021-2022)
IUc2016 replied to IUc2016's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
He won't be. He got an "also considered" on yesterday's article. Dylan Burkhardt is the UM writer who helps Bozich compile this list (which you may already know). He is not a fan of X and has stated so. But obviously is a fan of Jones. He will also be the reason that TJD is not higher on the list -

IUc2016 replied to IUc2016's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
okay sorry I thought you were agreeing with them. I will say that the overall talent level is down this year on paper so it might be hard to choose after the top 10, but John Harrar is like the epitome of big ten basketball I guess Nothing more Big Ten than having a player like him in the top 20 -
Early Big Ten Projections (2021-2022)
IUc2016 replied to IUc2016's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
okay. Does that make him a top 25 player? Seth Lundy is clearly a better player. VERY strong argument that Myles Dread is a better player. That would make him the third best/impactful player on Penn State. Why isn't Penn State projected to be much higher if they have three players in the top 20? -

https://www.insidethehall.com/2021/09/14/big-tens-top-25-players-for-2021-22-20-16/ 20. Eli Brooks (Michigan) 19. John Harrar (PSU) 18. Devonte Jones (Michigan) 17. Justice Sueing (OSU) 16. Keegan Murray (Iowa) Really surprised to see John Harrar make the top 25. Feel like he will be about the 3rd or 4th best player on PSU this year. Which means they would have that many players in the top 25 and I just don't see it. -

yeah its insane. He played 10 games and then took a medical redshirt in 2019. Then he got the covid waiver for 2020. -

https://www.insidethehall.com/2021/09/13/big-tens-top-25-players-for-2021-22-25-21/ Inside the Hall's annual top 25 players of the Big Ten started today. 25. Jonathan Davis (Wisconsin) 24. Jordan Bohannon (Iowa) 23. Max Christie (MSU) 22. Tyson Walker (MSU) 21. Qudus Wahab (Maryland) Hard to really comment on these as 3/5 have never played a game in the Big Ten. Bohannon could put up big numbers since the rest of his team left last year, and Davis will be taking on an entirely new role as a go to scorer. -
I mean as easy as it is to sell stuff on FB these days and being in Bloomington, not sure that makes it weird today. He was going to get rid of it one way or another.
-
yeah I think he was expecting to have to change jobs and go to another school. Had no need for the IU gear anymore. Nothing wrong with that imo

https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/2021-college-basketball-coaching-carousel-grades-chris-beard-to-texas-an-a-unc-gets-b-for-hubert-davis/ Surprised, but IU got an A- for the Woodson hire. Yes of course grades for hiring coaches are absurd, but still interesting nonetheless. I feel if this article were written 5 months ago it would be different, but his work since taking the job has been awesome.
