  1. "If this team has a glaring witness, I haven't seen it yet" In other words, he/she has yet to witness their glaring witness
  2. SURE! I'll go with JG. I think Tamar Bates could be it, but I think he ends up in the starting lineup. I really want Geronimo to fill that OG role from the 15-16 season.
  3. Couldn't find one so I went ahead and started this one. If one is buried please feel free to delete/merge. The WOODY era begins tomorrow night @ 6pm vs Eastern Michigan on BTN. LET'S GO HOOSIERS.
  4. well this thread was short lived lol
  5. My take is it will be the same as the Bahamas. 1. X. Johnson 2. Parker Stewart 3. Miller Kopp 4. Race Thompson 5. TJD I am not as high on Xavier as some so I could see the starting PG minutes up for grabs for part of the season. Ideally he sets himself apart or KL figures it out and plays to his potential. I think rob is a serviceable backup and could be really good if he is not relied upon to run the show. I don't think this team will be as good if Rob is getting starter minutes as the guy. Could also see Geronimo and Bates cracking the starting lineup as they have the highest upside, but these 5 are my bet to start the Woody era.
  6. The new era begins this week. Go get 'em Woody. I wasn't fully thrilled with this hire at first, but honestly I can't imagine an easier guy to root for as the coach of this program. LET'S GO HOOSIERS! (Please don't Indiana State this thing, I'll likely die) EDIT: Is there a game thread yet? can't believe it's here
  7. That's true. Lets hope it wasn't something unforeseen as that it almost guaranteed bad news. Maybe we will get more of an idea tomorrow when we see who is/isn't participating. So ready for Tuesday either way.
  8. I just lean towards the fact that the staff/IU have had the knowledge that this thing is taking place 3 days before the start of the season from the absolute beginning. Somebody should have had the foresight that having a scrimmage 3 days before the game was not a good idea no matter what. But once it was advertised, paid for, and hyped up, you're kinda stuck with it and canceling it will only make people angry. I agree the staff doesn't owe us anything and needs to win games, but it didn't take much thought to tell the organizers from the beginning no to a scrimmage. In other words, it should have never been part of the deal. And canceling it 1 day before the event is kinda disingenuous
  9. that's unfortunate and should have been decided a long time ago. Not blaming the hysterics for that one, mostly IU as it never made sense anyway.
  10. No we don't get it. How can ANYONE other than Noah Clowney know where he is going before he actually commits? I don't care how much of an "insider" you are you cannot possible know what he is going to do until he comes out and says it. Yes it is great to read on here what people are hearing and all that, but I mean it is just reality that nobody can know that type of information until it is officially stated by the recruit. But we will continue to do this over and over and some people will say X or Y is a lock to IU before X or Y says they are committing to IU.
  11. 7 MORE DAYS. I love getting to watch all the big ten teams play early and seeing how accurate/inaccurate the offseason narratives have been. I can't wait. With that said, one week out and my Power Rankings are as such.... 1. Purdue 2. Michigan 3. Ohio State 4. Illinois 5. Indiana 6. Michigan State 7. Maryland 8. Rutgers 9. Nebraska 10. Wisconsin 11. Iowa 12. Northwestern 13. Penn State 14. Minnesota Could see Nebraska being ahead of a few more teams, but want to see it on the court. I am a big believer in that roster and think that it will cause problems for a lot of big ten teams. Could see Northwestern jumping ahead of Iowa and Wisconsin, but also its northwestern. And Indiana will finish in the top 5. Believe.
  12. Now I think THAT would qualify as major news, Tom.
  13. I agree. Just saying, Tom crean level results for the football team would keep him here forever.
  14. Well If Tom Allen has anywhere near the level of success that Tom crean had we should build him a statue
  15. Because this guy called for his head in 2019 and won’t stop until he’s fired. He could have 5 great years and then a year like this and he would want him gone.
  16. Haha I’m not man! Hate was solely for the Illini :)
  17. Just checking. Would really hope you would want IU to succeed under Allen more than you need to feel right
  18. I don’t remember much of you last year when IU went 6-2. Or the year before after you posted about Allen needed firing and then IU won 8 games. You have been pretty vocal this year though. Interesting
  19. I think we can all agree that no matter who the coach of IU football is, they will always have their work cut out for them.
  20. Let’s hope. But until we see him play, not counting on it. Plus he already missed the Bahamas trip. We are cursed I tell you!
  21. Lol which further proves my point!
  22. So Durr still didn’t play. How is it that no matter how much post depth IU tries to obtain they still end up with no post depth at all? Oh well, Good win boys. I’ll take a win in Kentucky any day even if it doesn’t count.
  23. Lol 11/11 free throws. I love how that is the rumored stat that is getting out.
