Per 24/7: Indiana starting quarterback Michael Penix will return to practice this week and will be able to throw in practice, IU coach Tom Allen said today. It will be a game-time decision on Indiana’s starting quarterback for Saturday, Allen said. Penix, a 6-foot-3 redshirt freshman who was named IU’s starter prior to the season, hasn’t played since IU’s week two win over Eastern Illinois. Redshirt junior Peyton Ramsey has started the past two games for Indiana, 3-1 overall and 0-1 Big Ten heading into Saturday’s Big Ten game at No. 25 Michigan State (3-1, 1-0). “All I know is, he’s getting better,” Allen said of Penix, later adding, “I’m not going to put him out there if he’s not ready.” IU has not commented on the specifics of Penix’s injury, but he was seen on campus last week with a bag of ice behind the shoulder area of his throwing arm. On Saturday, Penix was dressed but did not throw in pregame warmups. IU’s offense has an observably different dynamic with the velocity of Penix’s throws. Penix has thrown for 523 yards, completing 38-for-60 passes with three interceptions and two interceptions in his first two college starts. Ramsey, who has started 18 career games, has thrown for 635 yards while playing in three games this season, completing 55 of 74 passes with five touchdowns and two interceptions. -

Huge win for the Hoosiers! 4-2 over the #25 Michigan State Spartans on the road!! Looks like another IU team on the rise.. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Zero problems with this. My original annoyance was that someone asked a legit question and I answered. But, some can't just accept an answer since it doesn't help their narrative, so they react immaturely. I appreciate your well-worded and topical response!

I'll take "Deflections" for $1000 Alex. I answered a question (correctly) with my knowledge of IU athletics, because I am a fan of IU athletics, not just 2 sports.
-
The question wasn't "Which sports out of basketball, football, men's soccer and baseball are on the rise?" These sports fall under "athletics", which happens to be in Glass's title, Director of Athletics. Comprehension not your strong suit?

Volleyball, wrestling, women’s soccer, softball, Baseball, swimming/diving, cross country, men’s soccer. Some are consistent (men’s soccer, swimming ) and others are beginning their ascent (especially wrestling and volleyball) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

That's all well and good. I have several people that I think are wonderful, but don't post obsessively about them. It's creepy. Signed, The guy who updates volleyball, rowing, field hockey, cross country, golf, swimming, tennis, wrestling, softball, etc....

Think you quoted the wrong one?

Your Chris Beard obsession is a little over the top. I was curious- counted 14 posts in my search that you've pined for him.

If the two of you had a child....

This is basically the same scenario as football in that B1G is one of the top conferences, top to bottom. It’s tough to steal a win vs the Minnesota, Wisconsin, PSU Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
