IUFH Closes Out Four Game Homestand with Penn State on Friday; Kent State on Sunday BLOOMINGTON, Ind.— Indiana Field Hockey (4-3) continues a four game homestand as Penn State (1-7) and Kent State come to town. The Hoosiers will play host to the Nittany Lions on Friday, Oct.4 at 3 p.m.. On Sunday, Indiana will host Kent State on Senior Day at 12 p.m.. Both matches can be streamed on BTN+. LAST TIME: MICHIGAN & OHIO STATE The Hoosiers kicked off their four game homestand by hosting No. 9 Michigan and then No. 14 Ohio State. On Friday against the Wolverines, Indiana couldn't contain the red-hot offense of Michigan as they fell, 5-0. In Sunday's matchup, the Hoosiers held the Buckeyes scoreless until the third quarter. Senior captain Kelsey Giese had two goals in the contest but the Hoosiers couldn't top the Buckeyes. Junior goalkeeper Sachi Ananias has a career high 13 saves on the afternoon. SENIOR CELEBRATION On Sunday vs. Kent State the Hoosier will celebrate their 2019 senior class. A Thursday Night Matchup at Illinois on Deck for IUWS BLOOMINGTON, Ind. Indiana Women's Soccer (4-5-1, 0-2-1) hit the road on Thursday Oct. 3 to play Illinois (7-2, 1-2). The match is set for 8p EST in Champaign, Ill. and will broadcast live on BTN+. SCOUTING THE ILLINI • Illinois is coming off a two-game road slate that saw stops at Iowa and Nebraska. The Ilini dropped their Friday contest to Iowa 3-1 while they had a hard-fought battle with the Huskers on Sunday but Nebraska would get the edge, 1-0. Hope Breslin leads the Illinois squad with four goals, four assists, and 12 points.
