I believe that was the semi-state game. Regional had New Albany, Castle, Bloomington South, and Center Grove. If you live in southern Indiana and can make the trip to Seymour, that is a day full of good basketball almost every year. Agree. I saw him at the Seymour regional last year and thought he was the second best player on the court in that championship game, behind Romeo. It's not too much different from a typical foreign trip. The competition is better, but that's about it. It also solves the issue that they were running into in the past of not winning. Always before they threw a team together of guys from various schools and they didn't have a ton of success. Pap and Chris, can you guys confirm this? One of my best friends is a die hard Purdue fan and says that the guy that runs their rivals site is saying that none of the schools involved with RP are really pushing that hard currently. This other team in our conference just won a B1G title with PJ Thompson as their PG. PJ is a past first guy that's capable of making open shots, never seems to hurt the team when he's on the floor, and is a good defender. RP checks off all of those things and is much better at this point than what PJ was. I understand those that are skeptical bc he doesn't doing anything that jumps out at you in his highlights, but I'll take RP in a heart beat. Ik I won't be happy if he's not a Hoosier. Does this situation not seem a little odd? Usually with a recruit this well known the national guys are more vocal about where they think he'll go. Doesn't seem like there's a whole lot coming out. Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but for those of you who like Mike White, his head assistant (Dusty May) is a former IU manager and grew up 20 min from Bloomington. I doubt that means anything in terms of IU hiring Mike White, but just a little fun fact.

If this has anything to do with the coach, then I'm willing to bet it has nothing to do with Crean and everything to do with the new HC.

On the same CBS Sports: Eye on College Basketball Podcast that was discussed earlier in this thread, Gary Parrish said he doesn't believe Archie will take the NC State job. He said even though it makes sense from the alma mater standpoint, Archie isn't taking anything but an A level job at this point.

Norlander made it sound like it was ridiculous that we want the guy gone the year after a conference title. Some of the national guys just don't understand the reasoning as to why. They think it is because we haven't won games this year, when in reality it is how we have lost the games and how it hasn't changed in 9 years. Love listening to that podcast, but didn't expect him to be that out of touch with this topic.

I would like to know as well. I am on BTB multiple times a day and have been for the last few years and didn't realize there's a different story than what was in the media.

For college basketball, yes. For IU, no.

Usually not a Bilas fan, but I thought he did a great job last night. I think he was just as caught off guard as the rest of the country at how much talent IU has. He was all about KU early on, but as the game went on he starting talking highly of IU. It was eye opening for me that we are missing a likely starter and still went 10 deep comfortably. As long as we play fast without getting in a hurry, this is potentially a top 5 team in the country.
