  1.   If Hartman is one dimensional and can only shoot the 3 then what is Hanner?  Hartman actually had a solid OR% and a good 2PT%, just not many attempts.  Also if Hanner and Bryant are on the court one will have to be consistent from mid-range at minimum unless we completely change the offense to a more Izzo style.
  2. Troy did a better job this season taking the ball with him when he drove. However, he was most effective with someone else driving and dishing to him slashing to the rim. He's not a great ball handler in traffic, as shown by his turnover%. Colin did a good job of pulling the opponents big out of the lane until they started to switch their big on Troy and hangout in the lane to stop dribble penetration.
  3. Troy has only been really good at catch and dunks... I think with an entire summer of healthy Colin working on his game he will be an asset next season. Also Colin seemed to be in the right place at the right time quite often last season. With so many "athletes" on the floor it's nice to see a high bball IQ player in the mix.
  4. I like this idea and hope we move towards a more traditional lineup. We can always go to speciality lineups if need be. Rob first off the bench for a guard and Holt first off the bench for a big. After seeing OG's athleticism I hope he's getting plenty of run towards the end of games in early season blowouts. The absolute last thing I want to see is a late season collapse.
  5. This Spurs/Rockets game is turrrble. They've called so many fouls I'm not sure what a foul is anymore. The announcers are making it even worse. Turrrble turrrble but fun like watch a train wreck.

  8. I stubbed my toe and couldn't walk to my car. Dude is a beast!
  9. The biggest part of Bryant's game that gets overlooked is his passing out of the post. With shooters in Yogi, JBJ, Hartman, Z, and I believe a much improved shooter in Troy he will have a field day kicking the ball out. He also won't be doubled in the post and have room to work.
  10. I believe Crean recruiters grad transfer Green from LSU (?) in 2011 as well. I would like to see if Crean can adapt with two bigs and run some high-low sets with guards spread on the wings.
  11. No, possibly in 2015-2016 season. Guaranteed game in 2016-2017 season. 2015 - possible meeting in Maui Invitational 2016 - Armed Forces Classic at JBPHH
  12. Yeah they're in the Maui Invitational too. IU and KU could play in Hawaii in consecutive seasons.
  13. Armed Forces Classic against KU in an aircraft hanger. Arizona and MSU will also play. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/11873629/michigan-state-spartans-kansas-jayhawks-participants-next-armed-forces-classic-games
  14. Maui is nice and all but the KU vs. IU in an aircraft hanger on JBPHH would do it for me. I might be a little bias though.
  15. Probably better suited for a different thread. Crean will have an extremely talented starting 5 so we will see what he can do with it. The past has shown that he has done less with more compared to the likes of Ryan, Beilein, Matta, and Izzo.
  16. Assuming the lineup of.. Yogi JBJ RoJo Troy Bryant That is 3 McDs AA and two very high 4* players. A senior, junior, two sophs, and a frosh. The only hole in that lineup is RoJo and Troy playing out of position.
  17. What I think the lineup will be:   Yogi JBJ RoJo Troy Bryant   We will then wonder why our guards are wearing down throughout the season.  It will be a mystery!   What I would like to see:   Yogi - RoJo JBJ - RoJo/Z Troy - Hartman - OG Holt/Davis - Morgan Bryant - Perea   This assumes Troy has worked on his jumper enough to spread the floor.  If he hasn't I would stick Hartman in the starting lineup to space the floor better than Holt could.  Also, if Perea continues to work on his jumper out to 15-17 he could be inserted into the lineup to help create a + front line.
  18. Outstanding job by Crean and staff to pull in the big fella!  I'm looking forward to seeing him emerge as a leader to push this team.  The pieces are starting to fall into place...
  19.   If you mean does less with more...?  I agree,   Since 2011 Crean has landed four 5* recruits, Izzo has landed two.  Beilein, Matta, and Ryan have all landed one each.  Out of that list Crean has the worst record (2011-2015) by far.  He also brings up the rear in that list of average conference finish.  Hey, but he brings in good players and good kids.  We should keep him!!
  20. Just had a good rebound and an excellent outlet pass to Curtis Jones for a bucket.
  21. Bryant with a string of dunks and lay ups and rebounds. I don't see him being the dominant frosh post player but can definitely see him working hard in the paint.
  22. I really hope he is that born leader that comes in and pushes the entire team from the moment he steps into Cook Hall. I hope he looks at Troy and says "cut the highlight crap and ball out like we all know you can." Looks to Perea and Holt and says "try me, you're game needs to raise to my level." Grabs JBJ and RoJo and says "you'll get the kick out and you'll knock down the wide open three but you'll need to keep your man in front of you so I can get the rebound." "Yogi, you have the keys to this itch and you better have us humming soon. When we need a bucket its you and me." "Team you LISTEN and COMMUNICATE on defense. Big things are expected and will be achieved."
  23. Stan left, Max left, a bunch of speculation that other players are/will leave.  Glass made an announcement Crean needs to achieve certain standards going forward.  Fans are still pissed.
  24.   A little off topic but he misses most of his rebounds by going for the weakside block.  Bryant seems to be ahead in the fundamental department already maybe he could help get through the Perea on this.
  25.   From Crean's history he doesn't really deviate from a lineup for his scheme.  Players have been playing out of position since Crean arrived.  We will see Yogi, RoJo, and JBJ not have the legs for the jump shots at the end of games and the end of season because they are playing too much.   My perfect lineup: Yogi JBJ Troy Holt/Hartman Bryant   If Troy develops a reliable jumper I think you go with Holt with an offseason of conditioning and hopefully improving his foot speed and lateral quickness to guard opponents 4s.  This would also keep 3 players to spread the court and allow for driving lanes.  Bryant hasn't played a college game but he should be able to hold his own on rebounds, Holt would be a plus rebounder, Troy and JBJ would be plus rebounders at their positions.   Most likely Yogi JBJ RoJo Troy Bryant
