  1. Why JHS gotta hit Reneau in the face tho?
  2. Good take by TJD. He needs to go strong every time down.
  3. Appears Big 1.o officials were in Knoxville today as Auburn - Tennessee submitted their application for the Big 1.o.
  4. Getting Race out of the paint and run some high PnR with JHS and TJD would be a good start. I hope we attack the paint and can somehow get Edey in foul trouble. That would allow us to then go into the post with TJD.
  5. Big 1.o showing out on the big stage while the announcers were joking about how offensively challenged the teams were in the first half.
  6. Thank you for the information! Where are you pulling this from? I'd like to see this broken down by games or types of games (noncon vs. conference). I feel there is some excellent data points here. This shows what I was explaining above. We're getting 0.5 shooting fouls drawn/game out of 3 guards/wings (Galloway, Kopp, Bates) per game in ~76 minutes.
  7. Didn't Schlundt win a natty too? I believe most of them won Big 1.o championships and made it to at least the Sweet 16. Maybe AJ Guyton didn't?
  8. I don't think other teams are committing the same fouls but they are fouling. I'd love to see the stats for our drives that end with a shot at the rim compared to our opponents. I have a feeling that gap would be pretty telling. We typically have a few dribbles into a pull up jumper or go with the floater. Our attempts around the rim are of the post up variety. Maybe TJD should be getting fouled more but he goes into spurts where he doesn't go at the rim, when he does he's been much better. Ditto for Race and Reneau. Edit: I believe part of the issue is too much activity in the lane and our inability to space the floor. I didn't really watch JHS in high school or AAU but I would think he could get to and finish around the rim much better than what has been displayed. Gallo has that ability with angles when he catches his defender in the wrong position but I don't feel like we've seen that as much this season.

  10. That explains it. Didn't realize going through 4 head coaches was the reason we sucked. Amazing we couldn't get it right through any of those hires. If someone made that many bad hires in business they'd probably be looked at as the reason the bad hires occurred. That utter destruction was mostly self inflicted and explains 1/8 maybe 1/6 of the seasons we haven't performed. Excuses for the other seasons? Agreed, purdoodoo's a joke and yet we'd love to have their last handful of seasons.
  11. I was referencing the overall Big 1.o. I didn't realize how bad we've actually been this millennium in comparison to other Big 1.o teams. Stats from the 2000-2001 season onward:
  12. I was skimming through Big 1.o history on sports reference and didn't realize how bad it's actually been. Storm the court! **** when we get close to winning anything we should storm the court, safely, and dodge anything Assembly Hall might be tossing from the rafters.
  13. Neutral court it's 33-30 in IU's favor We foul a lot. We have fouled a lot. We continue to foul a lot. It might not be to the level to warrant the FT discrepancy but we foul a lot. We tend to go into stretches where we "attack" the lane before jumping away from the basket or going up soft.
  14. We have the four highest ranked players in the league. I believe we had the most minutes returning (in the 70s%) and most points returning (80s%) that lead to the hype of winning the Big 1.o. It seems like we're one of the few who missed on evaluations or can't expect younger players to contribute or the Big 1.o calls fouls only on us or any other number of excuses and copes. We have talent. We have experienced talent. We don't seem to be able to convert.
  15. Michigan State Illinois Ohio State Michigan
  16. Sean Miller seems to be getting it done in his first year back at Xavier
