That's a better look. I wouldn't even say NW is playing all that well. We've given them some good looks and once they started doubling we started shitting down our leg.

Won 8/9, 5 of those came at home, 2/3 on the road we didn't play well but thankfully our opponents were either terrible (Minny) or just bad enough (Michigan) that we got the Ws. Two players made more than a single FG (?) against Michigan with one having almost half our TOs. TJD dominated and we played just enough defense. The 6 (?) players for a really bad Minny team gave us all we could handle for much of that game before we stole it late. Team meeting during half to play hard!

We did a fantastic job of not turning it over the last part of the first half. Hopefully we can take the next step and actually get buckets.

Those ugly trends from before of turning it over and giving up a ton of offensive rebounds are coming back. I guess laying turds was the choice. Meh, we had a good 8/9 winning stretch but it wasn't always pretty. That Maryland game was ugly, us putting it in cruise control in the Barn, and just getting by Michigan were certainly things. We were able to win 2 of those road games along with the great performance at Illinois. NW playing like the second place team in the Big 1.o while we're playing like were in the middle pack.

Our two best players have 5 of our 6 turnovers. We can't get the ball to TJD while moving. We're standing and turning the ball over. They're hitting shots. Either we get it going or we continue to lay turds.

I believe he's been out for the last 3 games, they won all 3, he played in a single game after missing the previous 3 in which they went 2-1.

Hummel - "Did they watch the same replay we just did?" Yes, Robbie, they watched the same one but they really don't GAF about being accurate.

I don't think the 4 is as big of a concern as our guards will be come tourney time. We'll need our guards to play well to make any sort of deep run. That's probably accurate on Bates, along with the majority of our guards/small wings. I believe he's only had a couple (maybe 3ish) games where he's hit multiple threes. (counting games against high major opponents or those with a pulse if that's not stretching it too far for some)

That last part being key. Are our guards capable/likely to make that type of run? Have we seen that level of play from multiple guards for multiple games? I'd love to watch JHS and one or more of XJ, Tamar, and Gallo take us on a deep tourney run this March/April.

Really enjoy Hummel calling games. I find it hilarious he gets tired of the officiating like most fans and starts calling it out live.

Whatever it is it's unrelated to sinuses, I believe the narrative was "he gone." I'm not sure what body part or tool relates to that.

Sure you can still use it. You can run a counter from this as the tendency will be to over help on Holmes/TJD so you have Berger/JHS pop to the FT line for either an uncontested jumper or quick rotation to the weak side corner if the defender there helps. There are always counters.

This ladies are extremely posed and businesslike in their approach. Another great win!

I could see that. Ohio State is ranked 9/14 Big 1.o teams but has the second worst Big 1.o record. Edit: And they beat 3 "top teams" in the Big 1.o.

Sure, then we could throw in like 12 or 13 Big 1.o teams that have accomplished beating "two of the top teams." Yes, if we manage to beat NW this week we could also say that we have beat the two other top teams in the Big 1.o even if us beating NW drops them down to "4th".

I think it's pretty clear - there are three teams at the top of the Big 1.o. One of them has beaten the other two. I guess if you wanted to extend it to include Illinois (their Minny game was postponed) the same stat could apply. One of the top 4 teams has done something the other three have not - that is beat the other three. I guess we could include Michigan State as "4th" (actually T5) but then we'd need to include Maryland, Iowa, Rutger, and Michigan where we get to "top teams" including 9 of 14 teams in the Big 1.o.

I should have clarified. They beat the other top two teams in the Big 1.o. Big 1.o standings 1. Purdoodoo T2 - Northwestern T2 - Indiana T4 - A bunch of teams Purdoodoo lost to IU and Northwestern. IU beat purdoodoo and lost to Northwestern. Northwestern has beaten both purdoodoo and IU (the other top two teams in the Big 1.o) Purdoodoo nor IU can claim to have beaten the other two, yet.

Those are the ones! Is Wiscy and Neb on the road really that big of wins? You certainly don't want to lose those but they don't seem like great wins.

Didn't they get smoked in the Big 1.o/ACC Challenge and have a few other meh to bad losses? They have beaten two of the top teams in the Big 1.o, something neither purdoodoo or we can claim.

Hopefully Kopp isn't tired after playing a game tomorrow and is ready to let some shots fly for the game on Wednesday.
