TJD and JHS have combined for 18 of our 27 TOs the last two games. TJD has decided he's going to put the ball on the deck when surrounded and that has caused many of those turnovers. It'd be nice to see him kick it out to for an open look.
We lack enough discipline (how many TOs), basketball IQ, and effort is still optional at times. Also, we are slow to adjust in getting TJD moving on offense when the post and pray (stop moving) scheme is taken away.
Wonder who was involved in that possession to give a WIDE OPEN look. Although it should be noted that they missed more when they were wide open in the second half.
We do a pretty terrible job of being shot ready on the pass too. You defend us by shading the pass and not the shot which makes it even more difficult for TJD.
Nobody is going to mention that half assed effort by TJD to get to the ball. TJD is as close to a leader as we have. This team goes as he goes. An IU all time great and leader would be into his teammates to pick it up and they would respond. Just like the NW game this game is there to win even with the crap ball we've played for most of it. They get another opportunity to respond.
haha I guess our problem was being too close to them when they were shooting from deep earlier? Our watch and wait defense seems to be better in the second half.
What are we doing with these passes?! Easy pass to JHS maybe have the defender jump then pass it to Bates? Nah, let me jump triple pump and try to get it to Bates. Lack of discipline.
We got another no call in our favor there.
