  1. Glad these games have been close. First buzzer beater of the tourney incoming?
  2. Wiscy banked in a 3 before Bradley hit a baseline jumper to close the scoring for the first half. Wiscy up 40-35. Wait, that might be the final score
  3. What is going on in this Hofstra - Rutger game? It's raining 3s!!
  4. SEMO taking fouling to the next level. This is crazy.
  5. Tied with 2.2 left
  6. Am I way behind on this Hofstra game? It's 74-72 with 20 seconds left after a huge 3 by Hofstra
  7. I do think the Big 1.o isn't that great but NIT is difficult to judge. Rutger has been in a bit of a funk for awhile too.
  8. There was a really bad charge call in the Rutger game, shocking!
  9. Michigan up 5 with under 6 to play Rutger up 4 under 7 to play
  10. Big 1.o has slim leads approaching halftime in their NIT games. Edit: Michigan forgot they were defending and down 42 - 40 to Toledo
  11. Is this before the tournament starts or does it include a possible tourney run?
  12. I might add not sending them to the FT line - us in foul trouble while they put points up. We've had our struggles fouling the **** out of teams all season.
  13. I believe they held that higher rated Houston offense to a low score too. Regardless, our A game >>>>> Kent State A game Will we play our A game?
  14. I don't believe the Akron player on the podcast was comparing Kent State to Rutger in that sense. I was doing other things while listening so I might have missed it. I thought he was asked to give a power 5 comp with mentality and physicality. In other words, Kent State won't back down and while undersized they're going to play a physical game with IU.
  15. PSU *only shot 34.8% from deep against us in the tourney. The problem was combining that with 26 FTA (15 more than us), an additional 5 opportunities (outrebounded us), and us unable to hit the broad side of a barn from 3 it becomes a losing formula. I guess if our FT defense was on par with the rest of the season we could have eked out a win. If we aren't hitting a decent amount from outside while a team hits a decent % while shooting in volume it's difficult for us to keep pace. That's probably the reason it feels like a team hits a higher % because we rarely answer with hot outside shooting.
  16. I think Honkyman is referring to the first match-up (in College Park) and go iu bb is referencing the second match-up (in Chicago). They were hitting 45% before the final 56 seconds in the Big 1.o tourney game.
  17. He didn't even have to like a post. We had him in candy stripes from someone saying something about a good freshman wanting to transfer to IU.
  18. Who do you have in your group of ~10 teams who can win it all?
  19. Thank you, that's probably what I was thinking. In the recent past right? (3-4 years ago)
  20. Didn't they have a player or two leave? I thought one ended up at O$U or maybe a player went from O$U to Wiscy.
  21. Taking only the 3PT% defense into account we do have the 3rd best "3PT defense" in the Big 1.o. Unfortunately, as suspected, it's not as good as that. We're middle of the pack in 3PT/game made against us. Even that wouldn't be too big of a deal (teams shooting more at a lower % isn't that bad) but we like to turn the ball over and give up offensive rebounds which turns in to more possessions by opponents which lead to more 3PTA. On top of turning it over and rebounding, we love to foul the **** out of teams giving up FTs. Thankfully, our FT defense is amongst the best in the conference. In short, % wise it's good but volume plus giving extra possessions isn't great. Overall, our defense is middle of the pack in the Big 1.o.
  22. This is always a fun one to circle back around. I guess if it's said enough someone will eventually, possibly be correct.
