My first IU fb game was an MSU game as well. Mine was 1987. MSU went to the Rose Bowl that year. I believe that game clinched it. I was so young and that has been so long ago, but I think a win would have kept our Rose Bowl hopes alive. We got drilled that game. On the first play from scrimmage MSU ran a reverse for a big gain and my dad and I simultaneously gave each other the, "We're screwed look." The most memorable thing though was the weather. It was COLD. There was freezing rain with lightening. It was a 3:30 ABC game and it was already dark at about 3:45. Sorry for the ramble down memory lane. I'm itching to kick this year off . I can't wait to hear Don Fischer's voice grace my radio for pre game heralding e arrival of fall.

I should leave this up at work all day and accomplish nothing like I do the live feed from IMS every May.

Well I did grow up believing the world revolves around me. Back to college basketball, Monday is my first day back at work for the year (I teach) and that begins my earnest countdown to fall break which is the beginning of practice. I start to really get anxious to get the season rolling this time every year. Fall break is also when my wife is due to give birth to our 2nd child making our first no longer an only like me. Just found out today we are having a little girl.

I had the same thought about an all American front row, LI. There are a lot of contenders starting in the middle if the field. I think a lot more guys have a shot to win now than I did coming into the month. I believe we are in for a heck of a race next Sunday. I pray the rain stays away.

I just read that my alma mater, Asbury, is playing UK as one of the cats exhibition games in November. That's a big deal for a little school like where I went. Go Eagles.
